Looking at the leaderboards on the webpage.

Sheltown has...

Hitting:

1 guy in the top 5 for hit by pitch
2 guys in the top 5 for sacrifice flies

Pitching:

1 guy in the top 5 for losses
1 guy in the top 5 for shutouts...with 1

I don't think we're doing it right.

Man would that open up a can of worms...

I'm sure we'll be fine. Seems like we've never really had much of an issue, so we may already have something in place. I've just never thought of this as an issue, so i wasn't sure how we handle it.

You lose your fucking pick.

Don't sign a comp eligible player until the draft takes place IN THE GAME.

Since we are doing a live draft I guess we need to have a clear cut rule on it. Maybe once the live draft starts officially, Free agent signing stops and all negotiations stop. That would seem like the easiest fix to me rather than having someone block a player in the draft and then there pick gets lost.

This sounds like something that should be voted on.

So whatever pick you make just goes to the team of the guy you signed? Is that how we've always done it?

This sounds like something that should be voted on.

The only time it's happened before was with Coug and I believe Baker, and the way coug described it is how it went down.

Certainly something that could be reviewed in the winter meetings, but for now I'd say we have to go on precedent. If he signs someone during the draft after he has picked, the pick he made goes to the team he signed the comp from.

Just my $.02.

I would say if it happens the pick that is chosen goes to that team like Seeit said.

I don't think we have ever had this problem that I remember or at least since I've run it.

Yeah but then they are getting a higher pick than everyone else, doesn't really seem right.
