I do not like the idea of allowing guys to not go over budget as if you do it strategically its a really good way to increase your talent level/budget without going in to debt.
Not entirely.
If you set a floor of $50mil, and a team has a $30mil payroll, you can just take $20mil cash from them at the end of the season. This could force teams that can afford it to at least have a team with a pulse out there, and for teams who are so far in the negative, it could be a deterrent to not go so far into the negative before a rebuild.
Just don't allow them to receive Revenue Sharing.
Another idea, yea.
But you'd still prefer a $15mil tanking payroll with no rev sharing as opposed to $50mil. But if you have $15mil and we take $35mil cash, you'll be much more inclined to spend it.
I was saying if you have a minimum team salary and if you don't reach it you don't get revenue sharing. You don't take cash from them

You joined in 2022 taking over for Sioux City which was built for a run.
Top Batters
Wayne Washington - Draft 2017 (by Sioux)
Antonio Serrano Draft 2017 (by Sioux)
Steve Bryant - Draft 2021 (by Sioux)
Jim Cole - Traded/signed in 2024 (yours)
Bill McMinn - Traded/signed in 2023 (yours)
Kevin Saunders Draft 2019 (by Sioux)
Lynwood Malone Draft 2019 (by Sioux)
Top Pitchers
John Patton - Draft 2016 (by Sioux)
Miguel Hernandez Draft 2019 (By Sioux)
Bob Smith Draft 2019 (By Sioux)
you won your title off the back of the previous owners work. Based off WAR, 5 of the 7 top hitters on your title team you inherited and the 3 good pitchers you had were all inherited as well. Your team was good enough then to beat Reign and somehow in this era you cant even field a playoff team? Try earning your own title before you call me mediocre.

I know I traded for Wayne Washington off the top of my head so not sure where you are getting your information. I'll look up the rest of your lies tomorrow. Patton and Bryant are another two I believe I traded for but will know for sure tomorrow.

you figure out my mistakes and i'll figure out my playoff roster while you sit at home another year.
like i said, i can only see so much of your history anyways. point remains you somehow could beat Reign, a top 3 coach in our leagues history, and yet since then you've sucked? how is that possible?

I can say for a fact that Washington, Malone, Bryant, Saunders were all traded for by me when I first joined the league. We can start with that.
That team was unreal and was destined. We not only beat Reign, we beat Trendon (on top of his game at the time) and Dave Riccio (0n top of his game at the time as well). That team was 100% me trading for the right pieces. Since then, we have not had the same success in trades. But, Miami is all hype as well and is a good 4th place team in the league for many years. Nothing more. They got lucky when they won, but we wont harp on that

This AL race is one of the best I remember seeing in a long time. Boston trailing Miami by 2 in the East. A 3 way tie with Philly, Omaha, and Sheltown for 2 WC spots. Really great stuff

Ducks fans were not impressed with the Richmond Greeks as only 43 non season ticket holders showed up to their opening game in the 3 game series

a lot of good races going on. top 2 seeds in the NL, last WC slot in the NL between 3 teams. 2 seed in the AL, AL East, last 2 WC slots in the AL between 3 teams.
we could also have as many as like 7 100 loss teams or as few as just 1.

You brought it up by saying you were loving not making the playoffs while humble bragging about past success. I'm sure you do enjoy it, because you got to make like 47 trades in 4 days and completely reroll your system.
The gif was appropriate given the comment, no troll needed.
I don't actually think you're tanking other than just this season. You had to retool, and you did it expertly (assuming the guys you got fit your system). Nothing more than a deadline day sell off. I'd assume you'll be back up in no time. I'm more shocked you were able to move that many guys that quickly.
