I stole it but still funny.....
USA should've put Bill Clinton in. He knows how to score.

Agree on Clark being an odd choice and didn't like Findley playing, but Buddle looked lost at this level and Altidore couldn't do shhhh out there so why put a less experienced and less talented striker on the field praying for a miracle??jsence2 wrote:I lay this at Bradley's feet.
He went back to Clark despite Edu's great play.
He keeps leaving out Feilhaber despite his great passing and creativity, something the side clearly lacks.
He keeps going to Findley despite him doing NOTHING in his three matches played, Buddle's terrific scoring form, and Gomez' great match the other day.
And then starting Clark and having to swap him out that early for Edu, it truly cost him in extra time.
Great showing in regards to never giving up, but such a disappointment with what could have been had Bradley simply made a better selection in his starting XI.
Okay this is getting out of line now but dude, advice? If you're gonna try and be funny, don't use the most unfunny thing in the world to express it. Mr.Garrison is not funny at all.....jsence2 wrote:trendon wrote:Go Mexico!!!!
there was a table of Mexican dudes who got up and started cheering at a bar filled with US fans today when Ghana scored the first goal.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Porque?trendon wrote:Go Mexico!!!!
England to America, 7 days ago: QUIT CRYING, WUSSES. GOALS GET TAKEN AWAY. QUIT TRYING TO BRING INSTANT REPLAY TO THE WORLD'S GAME.brwnbear wrote:England just got robbed. That was a goal by at least 2 feet and it was not called.
Wait, did we get a goal taken away in the England game? I honestly dont remember. Actually, I thought that Green guy gave us one. Wouldnt surprise me if it did.trendon wrote:England to America, 7 days ago: QUIT CRYING, WUSSES. GOALS GET TAKEN AWAY. America to England, 6/27: SUCK IT.
USA goal(s) was disallowed against Slovenia and possibly Algeria.brwnbear wrote:Wait, did we get a goal taken away in the England game? I honestly dont remember. Maybe this ref got confused and thought it was the American's since both countries speak English.
I made that joke on Facebook; the NHL screws everything up ... but they have instant replay absolutely down pat. It is quick, effective, and non-intrusive.jsence2 wrote:I don't think instant replay should be in soccer EXCEPT for goals. Just like NHL, use it for close things like that.
Put a damn sensor in the ball, get goal-line technology. This is too big a stage, the stakes are too high to NOT get it right.

The guy was offsides, by a yard. I think the ref knows that call is fucked up. He went over to the linesman and pretty much asked him if he was sure it wasnt offside. Linesman, neither raised his flag nor ran to the middle of the field (what they do when a goal is scored). Both refs really fucked that up and I am pretty sure they knew that.
I guess its not going to matter, as Argentina is opening it up now.
