Can't pay Jimbo $7.5mil but we can pay Orgeron+Kiffin likely the same amount.BFiVL wrote:LSU to offer Kiffin 3 mil to leave Bama. Would be a great hire. Sark would then be Bamas new OC
Kiffin and Aranda as coordinators are pretty solid though.

You see how they handled the Miles debacle and their knack for making genius moves. Not surprising herenick wrote:ETA on the fanbase jumping off a bridge. how do you go from herman to orgeron?

Except for the fans from the deep south in Louisiana, they love the hire...myself excluded.

Hermann to Texas officially
All the lego pieces are falling into place.
Texas a more attractive job than LSU I guess but he also coached at Texas I think.

It's that.shel311 wrote:There's not much of a need to rush, so I'd assume Herman agreed with Texas and we couldn't land Jimbo.
Just not much out there, Herman was really the only name out there it seems.
Probably not even fair of me, but I still put the blame on the AD for not getting something done considering we were the first to fire our coach earlier in the season, and now we've ended up with our interim coach. Meh.
Hopefully Oregon has a deal that makes it a bit easy to cut bait after a couple of seasons if it does go all wrong.

You fire Miles for Ogeron. That's bottom line. That's tough to spin in to a positive.

Re: College Football 2016 Thread
There's certainly a lot of misinformation so who knows if this is true, but if so, this is why the LSU AD needs to be fired.

Orgeron wasn't going anywhere, there's no need to panic. If Herman backs out then goes to Texas, we still fall back on Orgeron, but we didn't even give ourselves a chance.

Best shel post ever

Re: College Football 2016 Thread
Pure Biffy speculation. I'll be shocked if Kiff leaves for LSU lateral move. He leaves for HC job or stays at Bama

Agreed.
Wouldn't make any sense at all unless a very significant raise but even then.
He will be on the top of a lot of vacancies next year. Including maybe Houston?

I somehow feel like Speight has looked really good AND singlehandedly given OSU a chance. Weird.
