Is Reyes really somebody that should be moved even with the financial situation?

And yes, I'm doing whatever I can to trade block Corey

A couple factors but most important is will you be out of debt in time to have any chance of resigning him? It's why Rob had to move Oliver because that's an easy no, for Peay I think he also will be too far in the negative to have a shot to resign him. The earlier you deal him the more value and bigger haul you can get. That haul will easily be more than a comp pick

Dragoon is way too old for Boston to be interested.

Not sure on the exacts of Indy's financial situation, but I'm confident that it's going to be bad for a a few seasons, at best. I'm not sure they'll be able to afford Dragoon the season he is FA elibile. And even if they can, he'll be 30 and looking at a huge payday for what will likely be a very young squad.
Don't get me wrong, keeping him is obviously a viable option. But if he's going full firesale, trading him could work as well. Just a timing thing with the way it worked out.

Is this a way to try and justify that Richmond/Montreal deal haha?
Rob never posted Oliver on his block and could have gotten 10x more value had he done it...other than that, I agree with what you say

I don't need to justify it, Rob got 4 prospects who were all 70 rated or higher and one blue and shed 13 million. Maybe he gets more value than that but I've never seen anyone offer anything close to that for anyone.

"Were", that's the word you need to focus on

I'm not hating on you for going after him...I'm just saying 250 million in the hole, shedding 13 million accomplishes very little when moving one of top 3 best pitchers in the league. A supp 1st rounder, an int'l find, a 4th rounder, and a 6th rounder...i would venture to say that most of the league would have no problem parting with that in return for him. Guys with that sort of build rarely come and even more rarely get dealt before their arb years are even up. I think Oliver would have set a new mark for what one is willing to pay, the same goes for Reyes if he ever hits the block

man, greg scott looks good. hes 79 overall by my scout and osa, plus he is soooo far along development wise. also crushing college ball. Montreal has a good one (or Moose Jaw if the 7 mil demand scares rob away)

Thanks for reminding me I actually get a good pick this year! I actually get 2 in the top 14. Feels good.
My scout loves him RF Oliver Garcia.

My scout has Greg Scott as 20/52 with his control being 40/40, already maxed out. He also has a 5.0 BB/9 this year for TCU, pretty concerning if you ask me
