the rankings are week to week. they dont take into account the future. when ohio state has 0 championship win, they'll be jumped by the big 10 champ.

That head to head win was 3pts, in Happy Valley... I don't think that's going to be enough. PSU got embarrassed by Michigan and don't have another legit win on their record. Meanwhile, OSU stomped Nebraska and Oklahoma, and they also have a the Michigan win and a huge win at Wisconsin. OSU is a lock for the playoff.

I see it as Alabama, OSU, Clemson (assuming they win win the ACC title)... then the following scenario...

- Washington if they win the PAC12
- Florida if hell freezes over and they run out against Florida State and Alabama
- 2 loss Big 10 champ Wisconsin / Penn State

I think Oklahoma is on the outside looking in, without a path to the playoffs... specifically because they won't have a title game to help them out. Personally I think Oklahoma is better than Penn State... and at least equal to Wisconsin.

It's a little hypocritical because both of Oklahoma's losses came earlier in the year and they are playing well now. But if the miracle scenario worked out with a Washington loss and Florida winning out, I'd have to give the nod to Florida. SEC champs, a final 3 run of @ LSU, @ Florida St, and vs Alabama.

I understand what reign is saying. But they are not a lock. If penn state wins along with washington and clemson no one here would be surprised if those 4 made up the playoffs. You guys act like this playoff committee isn't capable of doing stupid shit and justifying it with the conference champion title.
