I think immersion is down mainly because what AJ said, we're all older and have responsibilities.

I also think though that the doom and gloom and the league is dying and should we scrap it talk is wayyyyyy premature at this point. I'm confident even now with lower immersion, we're still one of the more active OOTP leagues out there.

I don't think he was saying scrap it (unless I read it wrong). Just restart it, contract some teams that don't want to keep going and move on.

More so this.

Wipe out the players. Start fresh with an inaugural draft
Keep your organization if you want (or move, change names, etc if you want)
All the stuff I listed in the original post

Gives the thing a new shot of energy.

We may be one of the more active leagues out there... sure but we're nowhere near what WE are supposed to be, or what we know we can be.

Why not try to shake it up and get the mojo back. You saw the laundry list of things Corey has tried to do to spice things up, this is pretty much the only one we haven't tried.

We're all "soooo busy", as Dave says. Dave, you, Peay, Me, Corey etc. We all have shit to do.

But like I said in my post, when the league becomes less enjoyable for you, it begins to drop down the list of importance. I CAN make time for anything, as can you, as can Dave etc. But right now, the league isn't feeling as important as it once was. Some of that is me, some of that is the league IMO. I don't think I'm alone in that.

I'm just saying that if there are enough folks who feel the same way, and I'm guessing there are more and more as Corey as had to try to bring us all back to him more and more, that we might need to try and give the thing a spicing up.

I could easily be wrong, maybe it's just 2 or 3 of us that feel this way and we're the problem. I just don't see the harm in restarting even though I've been on team #norestart since the beginning.

I have sucked for years. had a playoff team and at the onset then just did not really get into it. I never recovered at all.
I cant get on the positive side of anything in this game.
But I am still interested. I can't do a damn thing right now as I get one or 2 .500 seasons and I lose all my money
I have had the same owner since the start Fucking Miranda Jr. That has to change. I am also like 30 million over budget. I know I did not spend that much over as I swore I was watching that shit. All of a sudden we move to 18 and I am 30+million over budget and my owner puts my busget back down to 90 million after raising it to 120 in 17. I think the that sucks overall.
With all that said and what all of you decide or at least the 4-5 that really seem to matter when decisions are made. I will always be willing to keep my team whether I have the same shitty guys or new ones. Who the fuck really cares. my interest goes in spurts. WHen I dont care I just download and sim. WHen I get interested (have more time) I tend to throw a few trades to get young talent and like currently just simply to get more cash on hand.

I still think I got screwed with $$$ moving form 17 to 18

so auto sim 10-15 seasons. what difference does it matter if we watch them or not. The results will most likely be same other than us manually moving them up to ML at an earlier age...Most of their time will be on DL anyway

I think simming like that would just extrapolate any file issues we may have without us getting to really be able to fix them, unless Corey did it really slowly, which would cause more work for him.
