a lil thing i love about politics is how they get everyone so amped for bs.

the whole campaign was about "crooked hillary" and how she should be jailed, and the first fucking words out of his mouth during the acceptance speech is "she ran a tough hard good campaign and blah blah blah blah".. shes not crooked hillary no more? the emails just dont matter now? the election isn't rigged anymore? the FBI isn't in on it? no more getting her put in jail? just like that?

It's confusing as shit for when it is required, but I think the Senate still needs supermajority votes for very impactful things (so 60%, which they can't get on Republicans alone). I'm not sure if the House also needs 60% for some votes (which neither side has).

Anyway, I was checking and a Supreme Court nominee needs 60% through the Senate to move forward, so the Dems can play the "we'll block you game" the Republicans just played unless they like a middle-ground judge that Trump puts forth.

It would also be nice if the people that are all crying in their cheerios today would instead start talking about flipping 3 of the 8 Republican senate seats that come up for vote in 2 years or flipping the house in 2018.

the thing is..Brexit can be fixed by just not going through with it. You can't turn back Trump as president unless he gets impeached

I'm not sure what people think he can do, that the rest of Congress, with checks and balances in place, that's just going to destroy America.
