He is by far the best color guy. He knows so much and brings a fun enthusiasm to the game as well.

I always enjoy athletes/coaches that are fresh out of the game. They always offer great insights, Romo reminds me of when Bobby Knight started doing color after coaching. Its usually a couple years of really good stuff, before they get too far removed and evolve into Phil Simms rambling about nothing

The Patriots had 1 penalty(special teams) against the Jags. That was the lowest amount of penalties in a playoff game since...the Patriots had 1 penalty in 2011. :o

that PI call late in the first half on Obouie (SP) was a horrendous call.

there weren't a lot of penalities in general though right?

I mean 4 of the jags 6(?) were absolute no brainers.....

delay of game and 2 PIs, the helmet to helmet....cant recall any of the other 2.

They were letting them play for the most part

Yeah I never understood that argument, you hear it all the time in basketball. Perhaps one team is committing more penalties/fouling more than the other?

there was a pretty blatant hold on the Lewis run that helped him get outside.

I guess my point was that games usually seem to have a holding call like once per series. I cant recall any last night

There's some hand-fighting on both sides, but Cooks basically decides to run out of bounds on his own because he can't make any move to get open. Still not sure how that is PI.

It was the widest margin for penalty yards discrepancy in an AFC championship game since 2000. There are only two other AFC championship games with a 60+ yard discrepancy in history.

Another one that seems pretty legit is them calling Jack down by contact after the strip/fumble recover - though once he had actual possession of the ball he was never touched. Decent chance he can go for a TD or a big return on that play.

One minute the NFL is trying to take down the Pats, the next minute its officials are now helping them. Haters gonna hate

It's whatever gets more headlines.

Boring offseason coming? - Deflategate!
Potential super bowl featuring Jacksonville? - Referees!

You have to admit, referees celebrating with a team does not look good though.
I am not saying referees cheated the Jags, but come on. You have the pic Corey posted and then you have the one where the ref goes up to Brady to tell him congrats.
It just doesn't look good.

I will say though, after watching the video, it looks like the ref was telling them to calm down and alright, like, enough already.

if you watched the game.....he thought they were going at it with the jags guy as white and him were jawing a bit......

if you watched that game all the way and not just video clips and truly think the jags were cheated in any way.....then you simply hate the Patriots and aren't letting facts enter the equation

The Jags blew it.

I just enjoyed adding gas to the fire as Gomer Pyle looked so happy. :)

I hate the Pats (probably a Billecheck thing for me). But I don't think the refs gave it to them. Jags we're up by 10 in the 4th and they crumbled under the pressure.

The one thing I'd live to see in college and NFL is the o let a play play out before blowing the whistle. The Jack play could have changed the whole game had the whistle not been blown. But at real speed it was hard to tell if he had the strip, hard to tell if he did and whether he was down by contact. The speed they play at and the job the refs have to do in split second decisions is amazing

The Jags were just hanging on and playing not to lose. They took no risks and we’re just hoping the defense would win it for them.

Plus Fiesty is a jags fan. You knew they would lose. One of my favorite NDL stories was Fiesty rooting for Aj to lose money while playing blackjack.

Yep.
