Yep. Let's give them all lawyers so they don't have to talk. Who knows what else this sleeper cell is planning. There could be something on the horizon (or there could be nothing) but let's find out before giving the same rights that they hate us for and scorn but will use to beat the system.
Sorry. I've been reading a lot of Vince Flynn novels.
Sorry Otis, I understand where you're coming from, but I'm a Constitutionalist, and the founding fathers wrote the Constitution with checks and balances, and they wrote the Bill of Rights for a reason. The moment you allow the government to suspend any of those rights, you've given them the right to do it forever.
This is EXACTLY why a government would use a "false flag" operation--to pull off something so heinous that the people would say "well in THIS instance it's ok, we understand", and bam....the government has their "well, we did it before" moment. But people think about this stuff emotionally and in the now, rather than as what the future consequences would be, and therein lies the problem.
Trust me, emotionally I'd love to see this guy butchered and get no rights at all. But he IS an American citizen. Even people who have been charged and convicted of treason in the past have gotten basic rights.
