Cool one here that adds in warm vs cold states for fun

Verdict: WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!

Didn't go to the link, but how is NYC factored into that? If it's just raw data, seems like NYC would skew the warm vs cold based on their numbers.

Methodology
The above graph does not include NY or NJ statistics, since the numbers are far higher than any other state at this time.

After removing NY and NJ stats, and accounting for the large population difference between cold and warm weather states, cold weather states have 1.74 confirmed cases for every 1 confirmed case in warm weather states. Cold weather statistics have been adjusted to account for the population difference.

Cold Weather States: AK, CT, DE, ID, IL, IN, IA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OH, OR, PA, RI, SD, VT, WA, WI, WY
Warm Weather States: AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, DC*, FL, GA, HI, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, NV, NM, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV

Seems pretty reasonable. I can't immediately punch in holes in the method unless there is something one way or the other with average population density. Job well done by these folks. Hopefully that's an indication of good news coming our way soon.

btw @Dak @George about the ship dude removed.. this is kinda interesting
The irony of this is insane. Captain Crozier served on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. He wrote a letter that was later leaked to implore for his men to be taken off his ship to be quarantined. As a result he was punished and attacked by a Secretary of administration.

Why is this ironic?

In 1898. Theodore Roosevelt did the same thing. During the war in Cuba, Roosevelt wrote a letter to the press to change public opinion to demand the Secretary of War reverse his position and allow sick soldiers with malaria and yellow fever to be returned to the United States to be quarantined. It worked. Troops with the disease were quarantined on Long Island and probably saved hundreds of lives. Roosevelt later was put up for the medal of honor which was then rejected by the same Secretary of War.

Edit: coincidence not irony. But oh well it's still sorta ironic in my book just not with the Teddy just that ASecNav is too naive and too stupid to be in charge of the navy.

Just got an email from the school district. Classes end sooner than normal this year. The knucklehead gets a virtual graduation, however that works. The one good thing the district did was to block off July 30/31 for graduations at the UNO arena just on case, so fingers crossed.

Seniors this year have had a shit time from the get go. They were born right around 9/11. Grew up in nothing but a war time, not sure if that's relevant to most kids experience as not all of them knew someone that deployed during their childhood. Now you have this where they have missed out on a lot of senior traditional things.
