I am against restarting also.

Dont need anymore leagues, But would do a historic one.

question about a historic league... wouldn't it be predictable... i mean if you get an 18 year old ty cobb... wouldn't you kind of figure hed make potential?

well i went over the stuff.. its pretty insane. Babe Ruth is the only power freak. no one in 1920 had any stuff..

(just skimmed all this after a long day of work, so could be missing something)

All I saw was that Reign hinted at stepping down soon (young kid, school, work are all good reasons to have limited time) and then people pretty much just discussed possible replacement scenarios. I didn't see anything hint at anything having "gone wrong" or anyone not enjoying the game... Like I said, I could have missed it (hell, maybe even a whole page), but it didn't seem like there was anyone not enjoying the game... Just Whit not liking Ted... (who the hell truly likes him anyway? )

if thats the case we have some ungrateful people here who live in a fantasy world thinking they are entitled to reign's free time.

if you find yourself complaining about the league, you are probably the problem.

Sounds fun but how many leagues can this group handle? Id be for scrapping what we have now and beginning a historical league or a new fictional league but I doubt that will happen.

And for my triple post, I will say...

I for one would like a start over cause we all know more now, as the reasons nick stated earlier and it would be fun to all start out on an even playing field and see what happens.


To the real, historic league, that would be the only problem, you already know how the guys turn out, so I am not sure I would like that as much the more I think about it.
You get a Babe Ruth and who the hell else in his time period could compete with him.

I posted that niddler. Teddy was just offering his place while gone, For the look.

I think you're bat shit crazy if you want to start over. I'd say right now this league is about as stable as it could possibly be. There are still some minor issues out there, but you'd be amazed what kind of shit you're likely to run into if you start over.


On a side note, I have stepped down as Big Ten commish.

I am deff not pulling for a restart at all.

Here's just a quick list, completely off the top of my head:

PROS:
- Cleaner league file
- Better player history
- Consistently structure minor leagues
- Everyone starts on a fairly level playing field
- 1 set of rules throughout the course of the entire existence of the league

CONS:
- Loss of history
- Significant amount of work to get things in order (can't stress this one enough)
- Potential lack of attachment to teams
- Any potential turnover of current coaches not interested in starting over
- Unseen issues with our financial structure that may not necessarily apply to a new league.

imo the pros outweigh the cons.

I just wanted to be the 1000th post.

But I am not interested at all in starting all over. Now if you guys want to start another league then I'm all in.
