If it's mine I'm not sure what I can do. I traded the broken one in at Gamestop for store credit. I didn't know we were supposed to deactivate these things. I'm not sure how you do that anyway.

well that clears it up.

the only way to deactivate (without calling sony and asking them to do it for you) is to have the ps3 you want to deactivate in your possession. under account management there is an option activate/deactivate. since you sold that ps3 to gamestop then there is no way of getting that system removed from the 5 slots.

perhaps the answer is smaller groups, I know its less money , but it provides some "slack" in the rope if you follow what I am saying. We have all had our share of horror stories when it comes to recovering profiles and lost data. Just an idea..
