We already know it's being made by Treyarch which means I won't be buying it. But here's some more details in addition to the recently revealed name.
Call of Duty: Black Ops' Locations Detailed
UK retailer reveals settings for Treyarch's shooter.
by Martin Robinson, IGN UK

UK, April 30, 2010 - Locations for the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops have been detailed by UK retailer GAME, with Cuba, the Arctic and Vietnam among the backdrops.

"Now you will witness the birth of the Elite Special Forces and take part in off-the-record missions using unconventional weaponry to get the job done," states the description on GAME's site, spotted by Eurogamer, "From Cuba to the Arctic and the jungles of Vietnam, Call of Duty: Black Ops features stunning cinematic graphics and intense gameplay that puts you right at the heart of the action!"

We'll know more when the first official trailer launches later tonight. Keep those eyes peeled, soldier.

The mixture of locations (from the Arctic to Nam) should provide some diverse online maps. As much as I've been in favor of doing Nam, I was a little worried that we'd end up with 8 jungle maps.

I am really looking forward to it due to the Vietnam War setting. World War II settings were overblown in terms of too many WWII games and the Modern Warfare settings is just fine the way it is. Now moving forward to another war will not make this franchise stale or boring, this may be even better than MW2?
