anyone have any suggestions for me to fix it without paying the goddamn $150 if i send it in?

...i'm thinking canned air, buying a new ps3 and returning the shitty one (although it's 60GB), throwing it out of a moving vehicle, etc.

...anything would help

just dont postpone my points coming out

It was Shel that did the ol switcharoo on the PS3s and then just sent it in.

Is it just one game that's freezing or a bunch of different games. Look at the bottom of your discs, do they have a bunch of fingerprints and what not on them. If so clean them. I was having problems with my NCAA freezing up and I looked at the bottom of the game and it just had the fingerprints on them, cleaned it and haven't frozen since.

Nah, I got scared, must be me getting old, LOL.

I had a 40GB and they only sell 60GB now, so that kinda threw me off.

I sent it in to Sony for $150, who sent me another broken one, which I had to send back.

It was right when NCAA came out with the draft and everything so I did buy one from Circuity City just to have in the meantime, but I just returned it for a refund when I got the one I sent in back.

you cant do the swirtcharoo anymore.....they record the serial numbers of the units. and when you return them they match them and have to type them in. They started doing this back with the slim ps2's.

switch the serial number.. it is not that hard..
it is just a sticker..

i may go to blockbuster and rent one just for today because i'm having trouble with the internet on my buddy's ps3 and he's going out of town
