Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
Let me start by saying this thread is being watched very closely. Shame we cant all keep a civil discussion when we disagree but lets try.
This thread is merely to point out the pro's and cons of both so in the end we can all make educated decisions about how we proceed this year.
I know we have die hard Heismans (looks at hoos and nasty), and i know we have guys like me who every year say take a look at AA....ignore me and these fools
Do NOT post here without 1st trying both. AA is nothing like it was for the past 4 games, neither is Heisman. They are specific to NCAA 2011. As such, please play a couple games on both and again, just share YOUR thoughts on pro's and cons.
You do NOT have to counter anyone's opinion. Their thoughts are their thoughts.
Thanks

I am posting because I played AA and I actually enjoyed it but I am still in the Heisman camp for ME.
BUT for the good of the league and a fun type version where everyone can enjoy and not get demolished by Heisman I would give AA the nod.

Its this game man.
Its put me in a great mood, its solid in every aspect, and I think it finally hits everything we have ever hoped for in a version.
Havent loved a version this much since the PS2 days.
Im goin for 3 weeks with this game rather than the normal 1 or 2 recently!!!

I have not tried AA. Do the curls work better or do they get int. every time.
If we are playing human v human. AA vs heisman is a non issue right?
We are at the mercy of the AI.

no, on aa curls occasionally workkdog36 wrote:I have not tried AA. Do the curls work better or do they get int. every time.

when u play human vs human, u can only control 1 player at a time, so u still have 10 of the 11 players impacted by aa vs heisman

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
So I would go heisman as I need all the help I can get assuming heisman is smarter than AA
Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
Heisman vs AA will hurt or help you depending on how good your team is. Thats what I see. AA gives un matched teams a chance for a close game, while in Heisman the lower graded team will have to work much harder, which is realistic, and unfair at the same time. That's why upsets are so rare and special. I would say Heisman just to keep it realistic but i havent tried AA yet.

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
I'm torn.
Passing is too easy at times on AA, but running is too tough on Heisman.
Conversely, if we are going to allow things like "guess run/pass", it is very VERY important that we go All-America, it won't have as much of an impact as on Heisman.
I could go either way. I think it comes down to what will be allowed and won't be.

S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
not that simple
by the same token, you're minimizing the mistakes the guy you are playing could be making
imo, heis puts a bigger gap between the more winning coaches and the more non winning coaches if thats the answer you're looking for
but a non winningest coach vs a non winningest will have more "action" and less "ah crap" moments on aa than heis
so yeah, on defense, heis covers your butt more, but on offense, it makes it that much harder to do anything

I'm down for whatever. I've only played Heisman, but I imagine AA to be a slightly easier version of Heisman.

thats my point...dont imagine lol...play it and see....obviously its "less" than heis but the gap isnt like past versionsBIGmike wrote:I'm down for whatever. I've only played Heisman, but I imagine AA to be a slightly easier version of Heisman.
after playign heis though, the 1st game or 2 will seem like arena football....(kinda but not really)

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
The jumping of routes by defensive backs seems to be a little ridiculous on Heisman. That's my biggest complaint with that level.

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
ahhh, 1 thing too is if u have a scrim buddy, maybe play half a game (7 mins) on aa and the other half on heis
same teams, same place to kinda get a good feel for both and differences

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
I have to get a few more in on Heisman...but I just feel that AA is much more "fun" playable...sure it gives up some plays but I have to be honest I don't get real excited about a 10-7 final.....but if it is 24-21 then sign me up....I don't like playing a game where you get 154 yards of total O...and struggle to do anything....so that leads to more of an AA game style....But again this could be just because I am not very good and it wouldn't matter if it was AA or heisman....I will play anything...but AA would be my vote right now....which is still early in the eval process.
Most nights from 6-8 pm eastern I can run

Re: Heisman vs AA (yes, we are going to TRY to discuss)
I have played both...I am open to both as well...dont bother me
I just think that when people say they struggle with this and struggle with that I think its in part because the game is brand new. Most people have only had the a game short time and I know from a personal experience i find certain parts of the game that I dont like at the beginning of the release I dont have as much trouble with come September/October because I have gotten used to it.
Either way, im down
