I've actually been thinking about getting this. I wanted to see how the team aspect of the game works online.

I play Warcraft and most of the game involves getting 10, 25, 40, or 120 guys together to do something whether it be killing a monster or attacking other players. It cannot be done alone. It cannot be done with half of a group. It cannot be done without perfect coordination. Going into the battle, everybody knows exactly what they are to do; attackers do this, mages do that, warriors do this, healers do that, etc. You can't do anything else.
IT NEVER FUCKING HAPPENS!
I can't imagine that on a scale of 128 when nobody has specific roles by default.

It breaks you down into squads. 1 guy is the leader of the whole group and can communicate with his squad and the leaders of the groups of 32, who in turn can communicate with the leaders of groups of 8. it is complicated but actually works pretty well. Your squad is given specific goals before the game starts, defend this area or attack this area. of course, as with all games like that you have a few guys who just run around as if you are playing deathmatch, but they don't affect your plans that badly usually. the people that play this game will generally fall in line with whatever plan comes from the commanders of the group. the 256 man battles usually last about a half hour. but there are 4 different game types, only one is the 256 man battle. the others are 32-64-128.

The game was just run and gun, or snipe and it was repetitive as hell. I didn't enjoy it. On a scale of COD to Socom it was far better to borrow from a friend and return later...

Graphics are for the PS2 as the game is not what it is cracked up to be. A lot of people in a room, but that is about all the excitement from playing this one. I had it for a month and did not like it one bit.

I haven't played it in a while. A lot of the clan I was in quit playing or switched to another army. I didn't feel like starting all over. The graphics do suffer a bit because they had to sacrifice there to be able to make the whole 256 player thing work. It is a much more fun game to play when you have a some guys to play it with, instead of just jumping onto a random squad.
