Hey PS3 community –

We are aware that many online players have been experiencing connectivity issues since Tuesday’s patch. We have been working hard to track down the cause and fix them as quickly as we can. We’ve already updated the game with one “hot fix” since Tuesday’s release that has improved many of those connectivity problems, and we’ve got more coming, so stay tuned.

Forum feedback has been tremendously helpful. In fact, we’ve been on the forums, monitoring feedback and in a number of cases, working with community members directly, so please keep the feedback coming. In the meantime, know that we’re committed to doing everything we can to support the best online experience, and we’re working quickly to resolve this issue.

NOTE: There have been rumors suggesting that deleting your save data will improve network connectivity. Please do not delete your save data, as it will not have an effect on network connectivity. A hot fix was released at 9:30p PST last night, coinciding with the first instance of this rumor, and this hot fix is the reason many users have experienced improved connectivity.

I posted about about the delete at 8:30 AM cst, but according to them, it only came up at first AFTER the hot fix about a 14 hours later. Fuck these guys, Yeah we will keep you updated, 1 every 10 days or so. Call it a placebo effect if you want, but I froze and got booted 8 out of 10 matches BEFORE I deleted my data. Only problem I had after the delete was the host issue of our party.

even if its fixed the game blows.

they can patch this piece of shit so it runs smoother than silk and it will still be 100% bad

When it comes down to it, the guys that are playing the game are not playing any better or worse than they did in the previous games. All of our K/D, W/L, stats like accuracy are about the same as all the other games we played. The game is fun to me if they can get the shit working.

I enjoy the game a lot. I don't think it's up to the standards of MW2 mainly due to the problems with online. The graphics aren't anywhere near as good either. I do like that there's no nukes. I do have a better K/D on this game but I think that's mainly due to my really sucking at MW2 when it first came out. I'm tired of the maps though. It's about time for a map pack but not until they get online fixed.

kills streaks have ruined these games...no question.

can you expand for me AJ, i dont know what you're talking about. is 8 kills a lot or a little with the chopper gunner and why have kill streaks ruined the game? i thought it was better cause they didn't piggy back kill streaks this year?

They do have a sam turrets which is a 4 streak to counter the stuff in the air.

I'd say it's second behind MW2 in terms of fun...when it's working.

I had a blast for the hour or so we all played each other. I have always enjoyed the game more for the fun aspect of the NDL comraderie than the game. The game is fun but I do get tired of the horrible spawn points and the choppers. Once we got into the ranked games with other people, it sucked due to the disconnects and wasnt as fun.

Last night I spawned about 4 times in a row and were killed within 3 seconds each time with someone sitting right there. That gets annoying as hell for me.

what map were you playing?

only map that i still see spawning issues is nuketown and thats tough to fix considering the size of the map

I have no idea the name of the maps.

It was the one with the trailers everywhere and the moving targets.

I had all kinds of spawning issues but that might have also been the result of the copter killing me within seconds after I spawn too.

This game is on my Christmas list. Should I ask the wife to exchange it?

The game will be fine. It's actually getting better but the party shit needs to be fixed.

I like it, but I took MW2 back to get credit like a month or 2 after release, BF2 was more fun so it had been awhile since I'd played a COD game.
