POLLS OPEN: Close Tuesday at Noon EST

Do we know if the "Polls voted in" thing is working or whatever?

It says I haven't voted, but i know I've voted in both polls and it usually shows the polls I've voted in and works fine I thought.

It shows that I have voted in both polls. So they probably didn't let your poll with LSU rated 1-25 count

Dammit.

If this one doesn't work, no point in wasting my time voting any more.

Mine is working fine as well.

It didnt keep my last poll vote either. BS if you ask me.
Specially when I spend 15 to 20 minutes putting together my top 25.
I don't just blindly zip through it.

I will make sure it keeps my shit and shows that I have voted from now on though when I am done voting.

And this is through week 4 for the current pole correct? So I know what to look at when looking at teams since the voting aid is not updated.

I always double check before I close.

Might be the browser you are using?I dunno but I have never had a problem with a poll not accepting.

I am using IE. The same browser I have always used and I have never had a problem till this season with it not keeping my votes.

It has been keeping my vote.. and the voting aid is updated.. at least it was when I did my ballot today around 3pm pacific.

Last week is the only issue that I had with it so far.
It kept my voting that I just did.

And the voting aid, LSU beat Ohio State, but it still says unplayed on the voting aid.

And their stats and recaps were entered by 2 PM eastern time today.
So maybe that was after the voting aid was finished.

Again, that is why I dont use it. I look at all the teams through the first 4 weeks from the standings page. But I was just curious.

And it doesnt show USC's game against Minnesota in it either that was around 1 PM eastern today...

I am pretty sure there is a "timeout" feature. Last season for the final poll I had it open way too long, but was hoping when I finished it that it would save it. I saw right away it didn't, but didn't have time to go back and re submit the vote. Not sure if it's a 30 minute timeout or what...or not even sure the time is really know.

Yes Im aware those games were not on the voting aid.. The voting aid was done prior to those games being entered ..

But to say it was not updated is not so.. The Voting aid is a reference only really, you cant expect for them to go in and constantly update it as games are entered as it is not automated.

But you can tell when it is updated cause he will have the new weeks listed . If it is not updated the new weeks will not even be listed on the aid.

Voting aid WAS updated. The aid was updated and current at almost the exact same time voting opened. Once voting opens, it would be unfair to go back and add in later results, as people could vote on Sunday morning before that game was played, then if that game was included afterwards, the people voting later would change their votes based on the game.

Thus ... you really shouldn't consider that game for this week's poll, anything not played by the time the poll is open really shouldn't count.

However, if when I go to vote, Ohio State and LSU have played, I am going to take that into account as long as the game is within the weeks 1-4 that this poll is for.

Then you should have apologized for saying at first it wans't updated

And I don't agree with your logic either. As I said, only games played at the point of when the poll is released should be counted, to be fair to all teams. Any games played after the poll opens shouldn't be considered, to be truly fair, but that's just me.

Sorry man. I was not saying that the work you put in creating the voting aid is not much appreciated.
I did not mean it that way at all.

I am sorry.

I do take off for not playing games but games like Ohio St/LSU that played after poll opened I count. I basically look at "recaps" everyday just to stay up to date. 1-20 are basically pretty easy it is those 21-25 that I have to look at standings and see about those teams under the radar
