East vs West All Star game

1st Quarter
The West would get out to a fast start and Carlos Boozer would be to thank as he would score the first 8 points. The East would use the early strategy of going at Deron Williams and in the first 3 minutes they would have 2 fouls on Williams and to the bench he would go. The West was in need of a player to stop up and Gilbert Arenas became that player as he would score 9 points in the 1st. Chris Bosh, was not going to let the East fall behind by too much as he would come off the bench and add 8 points of his own. Kobe would have the big highlight in the 1st quarter as he would have the ball at the top of the key and drive right down the middle for the dunk http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4751186. The West would take a 28-26 lead into the 2nd quarter.

2nd Quarter
Deron Williams didn't waste much time making his presence felt once back on the court as he and John Salmons would make a nice play that would end in a Williams turn around jumper http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4751467. With the East down 36-34, Kevin Matin would take Salmons to the hole, put a nice move on and flush it down to tie the score at 36-36 http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4751610. Salmons was not gonna be shown up by this however as Granger/Salmons use the pick and role that found Salmons under the basket for the easy lay up and a 2 point lead. Derrick Rose has started to take over for the East as he has scored the last 8 points for his team and helped them jump out to a 45-43 lead with 4:26 remaining until half time. Pau Gasol just picked up his 3rd foul this could be bad news for the East, but maybe Shaq can stop up for his squad. Gilbert Arenas has picked right back up as he hit a 3 pointer and then was fouled going to the hoop by Rose on the next possesion. West with a 2 point lead with 1:49 left in the half. Dwayne Wade would get fancy as he would go between the legs and then hit the fade away 3 pointer for a 5 point lead http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4751634. LeBron is just working over Dorrell Wright as he can not be stopped in the post. Next time down the floor James takes Wright to the hole and is fouled, James would make 1 of 2 for a 56-55 half time lead for the East.

3rd Quarter
Joe Johnson would make a nice pass to Blake Griffin who would slam it home for a nice highlight http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4751745. Derrick Rose is hot right now as he has hit his first 2 attempts a 3 pointer and a nice fadeaway jumper. East with a 3 point lead 9:20 left in the 3rd. Rose is all over the place as he just got the offensive rebound and hit Griffin for the easy 2. Danny Granger with the nice assist to Andrew Bogut who slammed it home over Gortat http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4754566. The East could be in trouble as Rose has just picked up his 4th personal foul with 8 minutes remaining, Kevin Martin coming in. The West was looking to get a turnover as they doubled up on Joe Johnson but Johnson would find Griffin for the 2 handed slam. Danny Granger with the nice 3 pointer in transition but Griffin answers right back. Andrew Bogut with a great offensive rebound put back and the foul, the West have a 4 point lead after the foul shot is good. East is getting really sloppy as they turn it over on the inbounds and foul Kobe as he goes up both foul shots are good and the West has a 6 point lead (largest of the game). Kevin Martin drains a 3 to cut the lead to 3 with 5 minues in the 3rd. But Wade comes right down the court and hits it right back in Martin's eye. LeBron come right back down and matches with the old fashion 3 point play. Wow, no one can miss, Boozer with the nice jumper from the wing as the lead is back to 5. Griffin is working over Boozer as he now hits a nice shot in the lane for 10 points in the quarter. Joe Johnson helps tie it back up with an old fashion 3 point play of his own, score tied at 82 with 3:10 remaining. Kevin Martin is fould and makes both shots for a 2 point lead. Chris Bosh is having a great game as he makes a 3 point lead to help take their lead to 5 points. The West's transition defense is looking terrible as Joe Johnson takes it to the hole off the miss and is fouled for the and 1. The East is now up 8, 92-84, after they had been down 6. Arenas would miss the jumper and again the East would outlet and go as Martin would find Ray Allen for the big dunk and a 10 point lead http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4752758. Kobe and Arenas would hit jumpers on the next two possesion to cut the East lead to 6, but Bogut would foul Bosh with 1 second left in the 3rd and he would hit them both to give the East a 8 point lead going into the 4th, 96-88.

4th quarter
Rose is starting the 4th, can he go without picking up his 5th foul. Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer work a great pick and roll alley-oop that brough the fans out of their seats and cut the East lead to 6 http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4753016. The West get a stop and Amare would make a nice 3 point lead to cut the East lead to 3. The East has come out cold, and the West capitalize on a turnover that sees Salmons with the one handed flush and a 7-0 run. The East knew where they needed to go and that was Bosh who makes the basket from the low post to stop the run. The West go right back down to Bogut, who makes the basket and gets Gasol's 5th foul, and makes the basket to tie the game at 98 all. Bogut working the post as he has helped with 5 points in a 14-6 run that has the lead now tied at 102-102 with 6:30 remaining. Wade hits a jumper and then an East miss, the West take advantage as they hit Salmons for another dunk and a 4 point lead http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4753456. The East are riding Bosh as he is fould in the post but only can make 1 of 2 free throws as the West have a 3 point lead. The East had a chance to tie but Ray Allen misses a wide open 3. West go up 5 with a jumper from Kobe that forces the East to call a time out down 110-105 with 2:42 remaining. Allen tried to make amends in transition but came up short on his next 3 pointer. Kobe answere back with a dunk right over Gasol http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4753789 to go up 7 and he drew the foul, Gasol is gone. Free throw is good, West goes up 8. James hits a big 3 to cut it to 5 and then on the next possesion James goes right down the middle for the lay in to cut it to 3 at 113-110 with 1:33 remaining. This is going to come down to the buzzer it looks like. Kobe misses they jumper, East come down and Joe Johnson hits the hook shot to cut it to a 1 point lead, 1 minute left. Kobe answers with a bank shot to push the lead back to 3 with 47.2 remaining. Coach Daw1git takes a timeout to set up a play, OHHH wow, what a play Rose hits LeBron who goes right around Granger for the dunk AND THE FOULhttp://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4754153, can LeBron make the free throw to tie it up, yes he does game tied at 115-115. Coach Hugme's turn to see if he can draw up a play in their timeout to take the lead back, isolation with Kobe and he misses, East grab the rebound. Granger gets beat again, this time having to hack Ray Allen and send him to the line, swish goes the 1st one, swish goes number 2. East have a 2 point lead, 117-115, what a comeback. Coach Hugme calls another timeout with 21.2 seconds left. Of course he's going to go with his own player Arenas, Arenas takes the ball and just chews down the clock, and hits a pull up 3 http://community.2ksports.com/community ... id=4754420 to take a 1 point lead with 2.2 seconds left. Coach Daw1git uses his last time out, can they get the buzzer beater for the win, they go to Rose but he misses the long 3 as the West take the win 119-118!!! What an All-Star game!
