stuck at logo screen

after harder and i played both of us reset and now we're both stuck on logo screen.

i tried resetting game but it didnt work again.

anyone have any ideas?

right at the beginning when game starts to load up, when the guy starts saying 'he took flight... and became a legend' it doesn't go to the 'press start' page it just stays on the logos

i thought i heard someone else saying this the other day

hmmm...not too sure what to do about that

i know after 2 weeks of having my game, i had to take it back because it would not let me push start on that screen so i just took it back to Target told them and they let me exchange it

I had same issue few days ago gotta erase all 2k files which will put you starting with mj 1st gm

Hey Dave,

I had this same exact problem a few days ago & JustGiver walked me through how to solve it.

What you need to do is go to the Ps3 home screen (the screen when you first boot up that allows you to navigate between options...)

Go to the "Gaming" icon then scroll up to the Ps3 Data Utility Tool - Enter it and find the the latest "NBA 2k Patch Update".

DELETE this update, then proceed to loading the NBA 2k game like you normally would do.

You should be prompted right away with the...

"Blah blah blah you need to upgrade to version 1.30 or something..."

Install the update then proceed - you should then be able to get past that dumb screen.

If that doesn't work...repeat the steps of deleting the 2k patch again, but also add deleting all of your game saves for 2k (yeah this option sucks I know...I deleted everything except my Profile & MyPlayer).

Hopefully it doesn't come to that 2nd step...

VT said it spot on. Your 2k game data(not saved utility data) got corrupted so just delete it and download it again when it prompts you to do so.

Biggsteve had this issue the other day (and I quickly followed), you just go into "game utility data" (the top option in the game submenu), delete the 2K file, and then redownload it when you put the game back in.

in all seriousness, thanks... glad i can get swept tomorrow rather than take a sim loss (thought i was just cursed in this league again)
