I try to blanket those over the middle routes with a cover two safety. That or a spy player, but you have to manually cover the route along with the designated CPU defender.

I'd help, but I give up those plays also. So I'd go with either quarter or goal line, cuz all the other ones dont work...for me at least.

User control something to take the middle away. I have no idea how to key a receiver or want not.

Last year I used to love keying a receiver. I believe it's triangle, left on the d pad and then the corresponding button of the man you'd like to key. This year however it seems to trigger strategy points, so fuuug that!

It has always triggered strategy points, if they indeed threw to the receiver spotlighted and the play went as an incomplete or better for the defense.
As far as the tactic of over the middle passes.. You can try to take away the pass manually with a user defender, or pray that the defender that is actually suppose to patrol the middle does, or hope your lb jumps many feet in air to knock down the pass. I find the LB jumping in the air is more likely then your defenders actually playing where they are suppose to.
But best is manually but takes practice and even then it is tough.

I used it a lot a couple of years ago, until I found out it shows up on the game as "play the Pass", and guys hate the play the pass thing, so after a couple of guys mentioned it, I stopped using it.
It is a great feature though.

surrender 1st downs on 1st or 2nd down... that way you do not get mad at your 3rd down defense...lol
seriously, I know what you mean... i try mixing up looks so my opponent thinks he knows what i am in, but really... its a crap shoot

It still showed up as strategy points last year, trust me....I got docked for it
All honesty, if my opponent keeps doing it, I'll start jamming the inside receivers (there are plays that specifically do it) on third down to throw off the timing, and then I'll have my safeties play towards the middle of the field instead of default position; it throws off those post/deep/slant routes over that deep middle and will lead to a lot more rushed throws, sacks, etc.

Basically this works against me. Recievers jammed along with a blitz forces bad decisions by me.

I won't pair the two (jam and blitz) as I hate when it's done to me....I use one or the other. To pair them just feels cheesy to me.

I keyed receivers, didn't get the play the pass... didn't stop them either...
If your linebacker has the speed to keep up with a slot back or a beastly TE, that's a good route, otherwise hope you get a good animation with the safety or pressure.

2 things
1. play me. Ask anyone I play I throw more flies than middle.
2. What pains me is when people say "use a mlb".. uhh, if it was that simple I would use the mlb? I suck with the MLB so playing with him only makes me worse and mroe of a chance you complete the shit.
Heres a thought folks, CHANGE THE SHIT UP.
Im officially recording every game from now on, so when I continue to dock people they can watch and see why.

Sometimes just highlighting the MLB and letting the CPU move him until you recognize the play prevents people from testing you when it counts. Also don't be afraid to use different people closer to the spot you think they are going to go.
