Been offered this trade in my local league. Thoughts? He wants to give me Owen Daniels for Julio Jones.

bigred and nick are both right. It depends on ur backup te, though you should be able to find a somewhat adequate te on the waiver wire, depending on the size of the league. Daniels will definitely see the ball more, with AJ out. But Roddy White is banged up and Julio Jones is really beginning to come into his own. I think it's more important to keep a quality WR than a quality TE, but who am I to say.

Greg Olsen is my starting TE at the moment, don't have any TEs on the bench.
I haven't been starting Julio, have been starting Steve Johnson, A.J. Green and Brandon Marshall as my three WRs (one was at the flex).

That's a solid bunch. Hopefully Henne's banged up shoulder won't put a damper on Marshall. Shouldn't have any problems rotating them in and out of your starting lineup, pending matchups, except for week 7 (when Cincy & Buffalo are both on bye). Who else is on your team?

Hey what are the top 3 WRs and TEs on free agency? And who else do you have as your WRs. Henne not being able to play possibly for the rest of the season could hurt Marshall but doubtful.

TE is one of the positions i fill last, just before K and D
I have Tony Gonzalez on both of my teams using that strategy not picking him until the extremely late rounds so I would say keep your WR talent unless you're just overloaded with great ones

My RB's are
Rice
Johnson
Fred Jackson
Darren Sproles
Jahvid Best
My WR's are
Fitzgerald
Lance Moore
Nate Washington
I was offered Julio Jones for Darren Sproles? Thoughts
Our league is also a PPR

Jump on that one... you have three great backs and you need another WR. Jones will have a good year. Kids a stud.
Mtwasik I would keep Jones even I do like Daniels a lot he does tend to get hurt.

Jeez... wow. That is really tough. If I hadn't seen your roster I'd tell you no chance. But considering that depth, you really could use Julio. Any way to toss in Jackson / Best and get a slightly better WR?
I'd do the trade, but I'd certainly try for more.
Darren Sproles has been sick in PPR leagues and will continue to do so. I said it back in the preseason... Sproles will have the Bush role... but be better!

its Sproles lol. He runs and catches. Hes like a top 10 back this year cause of his catches out the backfield.
pts wise in PPR, Sproles has the 7th most by a HB. He also faces Tenn, Minn and Atlanta in the playoff weeks.

I was 0-2.
Jamaal Charles got hurt.
I picked up Sproles.
I am on a 2 game winning streak thanks to him.
Sproles rules.

The fact that Sproles was available after week 2 sums up everything I need to know about this league.

So I already conceded that I am going to lose the season. I sit at 2-5, 2nd to last in a 12- team league where 4 make the playoffs. My chances were dim. I decided to play for next year and made a trade to the 1st place team who needed help at TE and WR.
I gave:
Andre Johnson and Aaron Hernandez
I got:
Shonn Greene and Julio Jones
On the surface I got the short end of the trade but we are in a keeper league that allows us to keep two players a year, plus $10 (auction draft). Rules are you can't keep a player that wasn't drafted. I picked up Hernandez off the FA list so couldn't keep him anyways. Shonn Greene was drafted for $18 and Julio Jones for $4. I don't have anyone worth keeping for next year so having those two at $28 and $14 seems pretty good.

Idk Uawww, Johnson is a beast though...and giving him up for next season is risky. Plus as long as Roddy White is a Falcon, Julio Jones won't be the main option. I see what you are saying as far as $ and not getting to keep Hernandez anyway but Johnson is worth more than Jones and Greene in my opinion. But then again Jones could be amazing next year if the Falcon's trade away White...and you will look like a genius

Either way I know how long a season can be in fantasy football when you cant pick up many wins so I feel for ya.
