Seeing as draft picks are tradable that's incorrect. It's probably code for "a player to be named later"

I saw in the rules that things like "draft pick trading" can come up for a vote, somewhere along the way. Didn't follow when, though. I'd be for that. I've been in two other leagues and we had that....really added to the fun of the league.

We are not suppose to be allowed to trade draft picks, unless you are the commish of course... ;)

I was giving Trendon a hard time because I didnt realize we actually voted on it. My last trade included a "player to be named later."

The hard part with trading draft picks is that if you sing a Type A or B free agent, you may not have a draft pick to trade, meaning that either the team that should get the compensation or the team that is suppose to receive the pick in the trade get screwed.

wellllll if we were going by new MLB rules, they abolished that idea. Now when you get compensation for a type a, you pick before the pick the original team has, and then the original team picks.

We cant use the new rules because the game uses 2010 rules, which is 1st round pick, plus a supplemental pick for Type A.

I will find the thread, but we voted on it last year or so. The only one who was against it was Dave.

How does this work then? If you later can't agree on a player does it go to an arbitration of a panel of judges and they then award the player to be named? Or does the original player go back to the other team, so this turns into a free rental.

Do not like.

So we officially can trade draft picks?
