Urlacher got pain killing injections and would lie about concussion symptoms to keep playing

Tiger Woods played in the tournament that paid him the most money

What am I missing here? It seems the more and more I read sports websites, the more and more they give you top page news that I don't understand how it is news.

It definitely isn't surprising. I suppose it is "news" only in the sense that is a fact that just came to light.

However, it is like issuing a news report every morning that screams "The Sun Rose Again Today!"

Of course Urlacher takes shots for pain. We know football players do that. Of course he'd lie about having a concussion to play. We know football players do that. Of course golfers will take the appearance pay-off to play in a smaller purse tournament, who wouldn't take definite money over a much smaller chance of a larger pay-off?

I'd imagine that's 2 separate incidents, not injections for a concussion.

And also, I envision this going on every game in the NFL every Sunday, so I don't see it as very newsworthy.

This is also another reason why I have started to dislike talk sports radio as they come up with stupid shit to talk about when there is nothing to talk about.

Holy shit, I was in the process of making that post, linking it and adding my own title. I go to hit send, and you know it shows you the latest posts made in this thread before you sent it out, and BAM!!!

I hear that the Pats also expect to win the Super Bowl, we need to band together and break this news... this could be our shot guys!

While radio row offers some decent interviews, this 2 week wait prior to the Super Bowl is one of the most dreaded periods of the year for me. It's almost as pain as the gap between the end of basketball season and beginning of training camp.

Doug Collins said that Spencer Hawes (Achilles) will return when he feels ready to go.
