Huge Week on the Court

It was a good week In the 1st video they beat their biggest rival, who they hadn't beat since 2003. My son finished with 25pts, 7 rebounds and 6 assist. In the 2nd video they started the 4th quarter down 12 and went on a 23-8 run to win the game. He finished with 15 pts, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. The biggest plays of the game was a three to go up by one and the assist on the game winning shot. I was sweating in both of those game like I had been playing, lol.

good stuff.

you said he was a soph? how tall is he?

seems like he's got that deceptive speed where he can blow by you without looking like he's going very fast. that 1st step is no joke, very clear to see at :56 in the first video. looks like a great finisher around the hoop and that stop on a dime move at 2:10 ( i think) was silly.

how's he shoot it, normally? seems like he's got a little bit of a low release, how's that work on the AAU scene against bigger opponents?

how big is the big dude? #30, he seemed a little raw but he looked like he had some decent footwork for a big kid

He's a freshman. He was 6'3" and start of season, but he's 6'4" now. He normally has a quicker release. He has no trouble on the AAU circuit. He's been playing AAU since 3rd grade. At PG he won't see many bigger opponents. He just got invited to play for a Nike and an Adidas team for the summer. I'm not sure which he will play for yet. The big kid is going to Furman next year. He has great footwork and a monster shot blocker. He was getting recruited by high and mid majors.

ahhh, 6'4 he'll be okay.

he's a hell of a player man... keep his head on straight and keep him working hard on and off the court.

looks special to me

why in the world is the big kid going to Furman if he was recruited by high majors? how big was he? i guess my perception was all off. i figured he was like 6'7 and #15 i think was like 6'5 and your boy was 6'2 so i guess i was off a little.

He's a great student. He's in the STEM(science, technology, engineering, and math) program. He's taking honors and pre-ap classes. Right now he has about a 3.6, but he will be pulling that up or lose that laptop & cell phone, lol. They say he's going to grow another 2-4", but we'll see.

He's 6'9-6'10. He wanted to sign early. The bigger school showed interest, but he might not play right away. when he visited Furman loved the visit. He said he felt at home. The also have a great marine biology program. He'll also play right away and the class coming in with him is pretty good. They can also get into the NCAA tourny.

#15 is a 6'7 SG. He can flat out shoot. A couple games ago he hit 4-5 threes in a row in 2nd quarter. He's working on putting the ball on the floor more.

You can go here to check out more highlights. http://marinerbasketball.com/. They have highlights from every game.

They are a 5A school. Their biggest task to get to Lakeland will be Dillard. They actually played them over the summer and won. They seem to be hitting their stride now.

Pretty solid on the funny typo scale lol.

That sounds cool though, just don't count on me getting out of baby sitting duties.
