Saw this at 7:45am est, Today... from Game Informer.com:

"[Update 2] Sony now says PSN will be down starting tomorrow afternoon. "This significant PSN maintenance period is expected to start at just after noon Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 2am Pacific on Monday, March 5."


Sony says that the PlayStation Network will be down for nearly a day to undergo maintenance.

Maintenance is expected to last from just after 8:00 am PST until approximately 10:00 pm PST. Below is Sony's full statement:

Unlike typical maintenance events, consumers who are already signed-in to PSN will be signed-out, and consumers will be unable to sign in for the duration of the maintenance window. During this time, users won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online.

PSN enabled websites will not be able to service users, including this one. Please stay tuned to the PlayStation Twitter feed for a notice when PSN is fully back online.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. "

It's amazing really. When I lived in Germany, Americans would get pissed off because the Germans didn't speak English. You're in their country asshole. You learn to speak Deutsch if you want to communicate with them.

It's Monday morning there. Not exactly peak times for gaming and they are at work. Why wouldn't they try and get it done now?

Just so you know. Canadians aren't much better. It's more of a North American thing. The fact that we don't have 5 or 6 countries in driving distance gives us a different perspective than most of the rest of the world.
