Plays (Playbooks)

havent played much but was going through trying to start a base playbook to mess around with and was impressed with the playbooks

seems like a lot of variety in the plays, especially in the pass and for the 1st time in prolly 4-5 years, significant "new" plays

anyone who's been playing notice a difference? Does it seem like the offenses are harder to predict?

I would even say from just looking at them, it seems like finally alot of plays logically flow to another and without hot routing it looks like you can set things up..quite a bit of same formation slants also have posts so when u play someone who's biting quick with safety maybe we can go overtop

is it translating to gameplay?

I feel good about the variety that I can throw out of similar formations. I don't know how my opponents are seeing it, but I know I've had some success using plays I would have never tried in previous seasons.

Reign, update your avatar to the new 2013 ones.
Your old 12 is no longer available so you have just an empty box to me.

A lot of the plays seem the same to me as in years past. Not much changed IMO.

+1 except for maybe a new play here and there that was not in the previous versions, otherwise the same.

I used the Florida State playbook last version.

This version, I literally did not see one new play in the book.

Last scrim I tried ECU's book which I'm fairly familiar with, and for the most part, didn't see many plays I hadn't seen before.

A couple new wrinkles here and there but I think the big changes were the past 2 games with the evolution of spread offenses and wildcat packages

There are a lot of new plays to choose from if you create a playbook. However some defensive plays they took out, especially in nickle 3-3-5.

I am loving having more to choose from cause I'm going to need to keep a lot of coaches off balance with UMASS. That is if I can even complete a pass or not get slammed in the backfield.

Noticed this a bit more this year. Had a much harder time putting things together offensively, but like Nole said, you can really set people up as you play off of routes/combos perfectly. Anything that makes for a more cerebral approach is cool in my book.

I hate they took out the 4-3 from multiple. I do not want to make a custom frigging PB. :x

with the way zone plays, all the defensive PB's suck.

If you create a playroom you can have just about all the formations.

The worst is calling cover 2 zone knowing you're going to see a quick slant or curl in the flats only to see your LB or DB no where to be found.

+100

Had to play Arkansas in the Cup game last night and it was absolutely brutal watching his WR's just sit there in between the zones with no one even close to covering them.
