Your shitting me? Allen was in our division back in the day. They used to have a little dump ass stadium. At the time, they didn't have much history a la Odessa Permian. That's wild. I am going back to Dallas later this week. I might have to check this out, crazier than hell. But people don't realize how big it is there. I played at Lewisville High, when I moved to Texas from Kentucky, it blew my mind that my high school had a large stadium with artificial turf. That was unheard of in Kentucky at the time. Hell my senior season we played our biggest rival in old Texas Stadium. Football is no joke down there, that's for sure. I totally can see schools having big ass stadiums.....If i remember correctly Converse Judson has one. But the Allen fucking Eagles? That's wild.

lol yeah it's really kind of odd isn't it? Idk how often you come back but Allen is kind of "New" money now. There's still some just regular parts but with the development of the massive outlet mall/regular mall/shopping center area off of Stacy road I guess it's more attractive to people. Allen is kind of what Plano used to be at this point. Not that it will ever compare to Highland Park though thats another world. The stadium is right off greenville Ave in allen at the corner of Greenville and exchange. It really is a sight though they did a hell of a job. I guess 60 mill will buy you something these days. lol

I come back every couple years. I have a friend that is almost like a brother down there, we alternate trips. I couldn't believe what is now "Highland Village" outside Lewisville, that shit wasn't there when I moved in '98. He also has told me that Frisco is ridiculous now too (as far as growth), but I haven't made it out that way when I've been in town.

That school district is one of our clients. they use our software to track all their schools and athletic facilities. I took a tour of this a few months back. The most impressive part was the fact they were putting in the same turf that is at Jerry's World. At the time it wasnt put down, but it was being delivered in a few weeks. I need to get some of hte pics from when we visited a few months ago. Its impressive....

He also said they built a 10 million dollar PAC for the school. According to the Facilities Manager it has the same type acoustic setup the the Sydney Opera House employs. Here is a pic I found of it....
