I suggest you delete each group that has to do with the NDL that you have in your AIM list and then import the file.

Save the file to your desktop.
Once you have it saved on your desktop open your AIM.
Go under "Options", select "AIM", select "Load Buddy List"

Some tips from last season:
I am on 7.5.14.8.
Last season we had a few guys with the newest version, which I thought I was on, but guess not.

So you may need to find an older version here and install:
http://www.oldversion.com/AOL-Instant-Messenger.html

On that site, just download I'd say anything 6.9 or older and then when you install it you can load the buddy list.
DRWebs went with 5.9.3861 to be exact.
Once you load the list then you can go back to your original version of AIM and it will be populated

I cant get this to work. Ive done it in seasons past, but after i save it on my desktop, it says windows cant open the file. I dont see "options" or "aim" or "add buddy list" anywhere. help

Sounds like you have the newest version. Follow Niddler's steps above to get the old version.

1st post has been updated to the new file that should fix woopig's aim address.

Quit screwing up Niddler. I don't have time to keep updating my aim list all the time.

You can add WooPigSooie316 manually, you dont have to download the new list for 1 person.

Oddly the screw up was mine and yet I'm the only one who's really unaffected.

Ok I finally got it to load buddy list, BUT, this season it doesnt have everybodys screen name on there so how do you know who is who. I can see what conference they are in, but only a few have screen names, most have their real names

Assuming you're using a newer version of AIM, just hover over their name and it will display their actual screen name. Or you can type their screen name in the search bar if you're looking for someone specific

It should have their screen names, mine shows them.

I am not home right now, but I believe you have to turn on friendly names.

To view a friendly name:

Sign on to the AIM service.
Click the View menu, then click Friendly Names.

Again, I am not home right now, but turning these on should do it for you.

It is probably turned off by default when you installed a new (older) version.

I just found out that I had UCLAMac's address wrong.

So I apologize to any of UCLA's opponents.
