This is my oldest, Brevin. He's 9 and playing in the 10-12 year old "major league". He usually plays third and he pitches for this team. On his travelling team, he plays outfield and pitches occasionally.
This is my daughter Rylee. She's 8 and is in the "minor league" which is 7-9 years old. She struggles throwing the ball but she can hit it. She hits better than half the boys on her team. Plus she has her awesome hot pink helmet, bat, and socks. In this league the kids pitch in the first inning and then they go to the pitching machine or coaches pitch.
My youngest, David. He's 5 and in teeball. They get five pitches and then if they can't connect they hit off the tee. He's gotten to the point this year that he usually hits the pitches. Not exactly textbook form but it's pretty entertaining.
Going to be fun with the little one when he gets to this age.

Last night was crazy. All three of them were playing simultaneously. Fortunately our baseball complex has all three fields right next to each other so I was able to make a little circuit to watch all three of them. Other parents helped me out by letting me know when one of mine was up.
My oldest (12) having a nice season. Pitching/Playing 3rd. Pitching pretty well, has 2 starts with no runs allowed. Pitched lke garbage last outing. Hitting the ball real well. He isnt exactly "smooth" in the field. Gets the job done but pretty mechanical. Not sure if baseball is his "thing" though. we'll see
Above is a nice gap triple
Below will be a funny one with my 9 year old. He was 8 when the season started but got moved up to 9-10 year old league.
He's seriously been hit like 6 times in 7 or 8 games
very proud of them both

He's crowding the plate like Quentin!
His OBP is off the charts though

My oldest took a hard pitch right in the back a couple weeks ago. It was in the ribs just below his left shoulder blade. He just couldn't get out of the way. He was a trooper though. Stayed down for about 15 seconds then got up and took his base. The next morning when he got up you could still see the laces of the ball on his back.

If we rubbed it or showed it hurt in high school our coach made us do extra pole sprints the next practice

I didn't think he was getting up that soon after he started to crumble lol.
He's gonna have to charge a mound soon if he wants respect!!!

I am enjoying my one year this year where both my boys are on the same team.
My youngest, Austyn, is 9 and made the majors. He is playing CF.
This is an at-bat from a scrimmage before the season started for him. I have to find a better place to record as the fence is in the way, full-screen you get a better view.
No baseball players in my house, my girls do play fast pitch softball. Like Bernie32 I am lucky that my girls are both on the same 10U team. My middle daughter is 8 and was having a break-out year in her first year of fast pitch but has fractured her left arm and is done for the year.
First game of the year, Emily gets a infield single and an RBI in her first at bat. Erica rips one up the middle with an RBI at the 2:46 mark.
Second video the team was down 7-6 at the end of the video and my girls tied it up. Emily reached on a single and stole all the way to 3rd. Erica my oldest got up and doubled sending Emily home to tie the game up with two outs in the bottom of the 4th sending it to an extra inning because time had ran out.
Emily makes a spectacular catch in right field, the video didn't catch it but it got the crowd & her teammates reaction:
Erica has a problem with catchers it seems. The first video is from an Invitational Tournament and we were playing one of our league rivals in the game. She doesn't have a problem sliding into bases but when she gets going to home she forgets to slide:
This video is from our latest game this past Thursday, same result but she got called out for the collision.
