All outstanding games will be simmed so be sure to make the best effort possible to get your games in. Conference title games will be opened up immediately after the outstanding games are simmed.

After thinking about it I will grant a one day extension so the new deadline is Monday January 5th at 11:59 eastern standard time.

although it doesn't affect me as i played my game, the pause week didn't help teams with games during Weeks 13 & 14 because they weren't open at that time. That's why i didn't think it was a good idea to do that without opening those weeks, but i really hate that so many games are going to be simmed this year, especially mine if Tball doesn't wake up

10 days to get 1-2 or games following a pause week in to close out the season is a pretty good chunk of time to get them in.

There are a number of guys who have played only 3-7 games, in TWO MONTHS! And they're still in the league? And have they even been contacted? And will they be invited back for next season? Does anyone care? Questions, questions.

And as for pointing out a MAJOR problem (with all the unplayed games), I say, SHHHH! If you have nothing positive to point out, then don't say anything. You'll become an outcast like myself and others, that simply want to continue to try to keep this league at an elite status, if it still is.

There are going to be a crazy ridiculous number of games simmed out. Is that good for the league? Could anything have been done to decrease that number or to at least try to improve the situation? No & Yes, but it is what it is. Things aren't too strong right now and can anyone be feeling optimistic about the upcoming NDL season, which won't even start until February? I'm not angry about how things have gone, I'm just bummed. Things used to be so great around here.

things are fine, sims happen...im sure the guys that have dragged their ass will be dealt with...

Number of games simmed over the past seasons

One THOUSAND four hundred and 40 open games each season

Season 10 - 74
Season 11 - 91
Season 12 - 104
Season 13 - 84
Season 14 - 110 games unplayed currently (with 2 days left to play)

On the 1st point Im not specifically laughing at you Tom, Im laughing that EVERY SEASON for the past FIVE seasons there has been a thread complaining about the number of sims.

I wish I had the foresight to keep those numbers before Season 10 but the bottom line is the amount of sims is no greater or not much greater than it always is. There have ALWAYS been a TON of sim post Jeffmo because Jeff would sacrifice league movement for allowing time for sims.

We would have the pause week, THEN an "extra week" THEN 3 more days THEN games would be left open during conf champ week.

Mike and I dont do as much babysitting thus the -1 on coaches grades for sims. Everyone knows the timeline so we're not gonna change our schedules for the few when the majority is at adherence.

You guys do realize that if NO OTHER games were played right now...and we finished with simming 110 games.....THAT IS STILL 92.4% OF ALL GAMES PLAYED

Call me crazy but dealing with 120 people with totally seperate lives, with families, most with kids, jobs or school.....thats pretty fucking good.

Anyway, I wasnt gonna address the rest but I may as well since Im on a roll.

Tom - We get it, we really do. We even understand that you're "trying to not make waves" but the little jabs are getting f'in ridiculous. We KNOW, we KNOW, yes you would do things differently. 1 - almost NOTHING is as exciting after doint it for a while as when it 1st starts.....Is sex with a woman youve been with for 15 years as good as the 1st year?

at least 60-70% of this league are "vets" with more than 6 seasons experience.

OF COURSE its not as "great"....we all used to get butterflies and shit when playing a big "online game" but now its old hat to most of us. we know the league will go on..we know wins and losses dont determine what others think about you on the boards or for real life for that matter. ugh, just common sense that it wouldnt be "as great"

2 - Whats the average number of league the NDL coach is in now compared to season 1-6 when online football was starting

I'll guestimate on average it was 3 maybe 2.5

now its more like 1.3, 1.4

for the rationale behind that see item #1 above...its old hat, we all know now that none of us will be appearing on ESPN because we won that championship in that online league which proves we are the best in the ENTIRE country at the game

maybe im just an optimistic person but u ask can anyone be optimistic?

hell fucking yea im optimistic.....not only about Season 15.....im optimistic about Season fucking 50, 12 years from now.

THIS is the hard part. The honeymoon is over. the 7 year itch is here.

Bottom line is we still have a UNBELIEVABLE group of core guys who will NEVER quit the league. EVER. me amongst them.

With that, even in the "skinny" times, we will ALWAYS have people coming in and we CAN always have people coming in.

We have a GREAT batch of new coaches in this season and last season and if things ever got "drastic" we could lower our standards, try to work more with new coaches and etc with the point being we'll always have the NUMBER of coaches, the only question would be quality...and if it meant we deal with that scenario when or if it presents itself...then we will but the point is NDL will survive it.

Bottom line is I have no problem with stating an opinion once...maybe twice (in your case, 10-15 times)...but the POST above is whats detrimental to the league and its morale...not the actual league itself.

..for the record....NO commisioner will be perfect...Jeffmo ended up leaving because he got tired of defending his actions because people disagreed with him. I KNOW I was even close, Mike isnt, and whomever runs the league in the future wont be.....take it all with a grain of salt, enjoy the ride and dont be a crab that destroys or attempts to destroy the league from within

i like the comparison of sims per season little table there Nole. Lets add to that that many people have had their PS3s crash for some length of time and even more others have run accross some personal issues.

i agree Aj, for i have the upmost respect for all the peps who have a hand in making this league work. I m still pretty much a NOOB. Hands down best league i ve ever been a part of.
