Thank you to Niddler for the assistance and the understanding that i was completely joking. and here is the list. if there are errors. I apologize, but i did get them from here and the NDL2 site so as long as they are up to date we are good. If they are not...I apologize.

Is there a special way to do things differently if we dont use AIM but we use phone apps like IMO or something?

i use imo, but you haveto use AIM on your computer to import the list then you can close it up and go back to using imo with the updated list in there

I havent used AIM on a computer in about 5 years. I will have to do what we gotta do!

Go there corey, download and install it. go to the drop down menu, load the buddy list, then before you exit AIM make sure you set AIM to not load when windows starts, or just exit aim and uninstall it....back to IMO

Yeah, I had to uninstall whatever was on my computer and go get the legacy 7.5.blahblah.

not sure, only know how to do it on older v7.5 of AIM

there should be some way to import a buddy list.

So save the file that chusker has to your computer.
Open aim, figure out how to import, choose his file and import it.

I have last season's list... so all I'd really have to do is search the name to find guys right? Or should I get the old version, download the new list, and then upgrade?

I would go to the old version and stay there personally. Why upgrade?

In Windows, I am on AIM version 7.5.14.8
When I try to import through the Options, Add to Buddy List Menu, it only gives me the ability to import from Facebook or Google.

Then I right clicked on the file I downloaded from Chusker, and then selected the Open With option and chose AOL Instant Messenger.
A pop up window then shows up and has the list of groups/names that it will import.

There is also a button on the bottom that says to Replace my existing buddy list with the one I am loading and now.
Just know, if you choose this button to replace your existing buddy list, it will wipe out everyone currently in your AIM list in case you have some friends outside of the NDL in your list.

I am sorry, I never answered your question, yes, if you want to upgrade after doing this, this will solve your issue.
But see if you can right click on the file as I explained above first.

Anyone know how to do this on a mac?

There is no option for the stuff Niddler is mentioning.

There is currently no way to transfer your buddy list from one Username to another using AIM for Mac 2.0. This version does not support importing and exporting of buddy lists.

Corey I let AOL have a piece of my mind when I found that out yesterday.
Lucky for me I still have a windows machine in the house. So I imported through that AIM and then just logged out and back into the aim on Mac and it sees the new buddy list.

Just silly.

I have my laptop at work I can use on Monday luckily.

I went through and did my own list manually yesterday. Luckily a lot of guys kept their teams so it wasn't too bad.
