Am I crazy here? I played Shel yesterday and started my own offline dynasty and layed 5 games last night and LOVED the game

I think the game engine is the best I've seen since 2006. The online responsiveness was pretty dang close to offline...close as its ever been imo.

AI seemed way better than in the past as well

Dunno, i know we like to hate on ea but the game seems like prtty good sh*t.

Also granted; I pretty much let the def play by themseleves and only do offense in dynaties but yeah, im pretty happy with the results.

..now if i can just get through this 1st season or 2 with sh*tty a$$ Umass and get promoted to a better job as off coordinator I'll be happy...blowsssss playing Wisky, K state and even Vandy with a D-......we killed the FCS SE team though

The online responsiveness of NCAA 08 comes to mind.

I'm with nole on this one.

Love the game, but still have very little motivation to play it.

Play defense. I was expecting it to control like Madden did, but it isn't the same. I'd say this is the second worst user defense game since 08 (nothing can top 08).

I've had the game for two weeks now and have played exactly two games, one online vs Johnny the other in an od. Crazy. Anyway, enjoyed it, I'll probably suck though

lol....that bodes well for me since "Nole dont do defense"

i can definitely see issues with man D, but user on D seems about on par as the last few seasons, I don't see any differences really.

It's spotty. I wouldn't dare switch to a defender 1x1 coverage while ball is in air.

Even Riccio hates it and he usually loves anything NCAA.

Interesting.

I've only played 3 games, so my time and moments may come very soon, but i've switched on every ball downfield like I normally do and haven't seen any issue yet.

Maybe i'm just that awesome...or not.

i have... 3 online dynasties, 1 offline and i play NDL. i love the game. I dont play defense to begin with so people complaining about it is indifferent to me.

If people like BM dislike D....good.. maybe we'll have some different people near the top at the end of the year Memphis 4 Championship!!

Here is the true answer.

User on D is horrendous and we will never see the greatness and smoothness of ps2 which is weird to say.

Annoying that I have to pound on X to move the damn game along (tfan credit here)

BUT, I am enjoying the game a lot with that being said.
Offense is fun.
Spread option actually works this year over never before.
Liking the animations

User defense was great on PS3 NCAA 09-11. Then shit went south. Nole just likes the overhead cam being back.

just like every years game there are some things to love and hate..

love some of the new animations specially some of the cuts when running between the tackles..

Love some of the new option plays, like midline, veer from shotgun, dart etc..

So Im loving the run game.

oh yea overhead type cam is nice

hate the defense, zone defense is absolute nightmare.. nothing pisses me off more then to call a cover 4 and watch the pass go right down the seam to the wr where my db should be waiting to pick the pass.

Also how the hell does zones get out ran, it seems like at some point your safeties and dbs stop getting deep.

And while man d plays better then zone, by mirroring certain routes, if there is any hard cut prepare to watch the smartest db stand still in amazement as he watches the wr leave him in the dust.. IE>> the corner post.

and User control seems slow unresponsive and damn I almost feel like I have to just hold triangle non stop as soon as the qb drops back to get my user control guy to put his hands up, instead of waiting for the pass to be thrown.


So conclusion.. love playing offense, but playing defense is a freaking adventure.

I tried the overhead cam and the Coach cam for 2 games offline and it was impossible playing D. From the sounds of it i should go back to playing on overhead again cause its not the D.

My conclusion: Who needs Defense anyways.

You summed it up perfectly. I am horrid on D even when the game AI and user D is better than this version. I might as well enjoy the view and watch the play and see how bad and why my D got beat from a coordinator view.

Corey put me onto the overhead cam, I switched back for one game and hated it.

Blimp cam/overhead cam/off cord cam....Goat to me for this game. I now know why Corey loved it so much.
