FIFA Career

Post by ajalves »

Started a FIFA career....18 year old striker on a MLS team.

its a tad too easy. dont get me wrong, im not scoring 3 goals a game, but we dont really lose

we tie some, but never lose hardly

I play where i only control my guy (NDL club style if you will)

I guess my question is, does anyone know any good sliders that weill make it maybe 20% tougher?

your dude is like the best guy in MLS off the bat lol. I tried last yr and ended up transfering to Newcastle. I notice 1 playmode is toooo easy, and the next one is too hard

this year you start off with like a 60 rating and have to "rank up" (quotes just for you) through accomplishments exactly like your CLUB guy.

its pretty cool actually

whod u get loaned too? usually loanings work in like European soccer cause youre 18 and good and they want u getting playing time on some squad (since u wont start on a great team yet). dunno with MLS tho, you could probably dominate there too. I asked for a loan when i played and got sent to Europe, went to a premier league team, then I asked for a loan again and they tried loaning me to some division 4 team

I started with the NE Revolution and got loaned to the Portland Timbers.

I enjoy it because the games are exactly like club games. I control the striker....they are like 20 minutes, and then onto the net one.

its been enjoyable

interesting. dunno why theyd loan within league but ya i agree. I would play 10 games a night, just 6 mins/half and my 1 guy. I finished a season and a bit in a few days just mowing through games.

I haven't tried the individual mode... but that sounds like fun. I might give it a go.

*Transfer = You went to another team permanently. Trading isn't as common in soccer, they tend to just buy players out right.
*Loan = You are being loaned to another team for free, or sometimes for a fee. This happens when your playing time is blocked or your club thinks it's a good investment to just pimp you out. I don't know if the game has it or not, but they can even write into loan agreements things like you not being allowed to play against the squad that owns your rights, if you're scheduled to play.

Yea i play the same game mode AJ.. as far as the game difficulty .. you are right.. you rarely lose.. get a lot of ties..

I play as a cm.. I m already in the 2016 / 2017 season.. I think i have around 150 plus appearances.. lol ..

in terms of sliders I ve looked.. Most sliders out there are for longer games .. 15 mins and manual controls

I was able to alter them some to give me the game I was looking for.. but I had to play at 10 min halfs.

One thing I would recommend though, is to turn the user and cpu run frequency to 0 for both teams no matter how you adjust the sliders.. Because for some reason it causes the teams to play more like themselves, and their tactics.. as opposed to getting a half up the pitch then long passing it forward or over the top all match long. They still do so, but it is more logically when they do.

I only do the Manager Career Mode, I get bored fast w the player aspect.

I'm in a dogfight w Chelsea for the Premier League title; got knocked out of the FA Cup in the quarterfinals by a 90th minute header by Stoke, just sat there in shock for five minutes. I am one point ahead of Chelsea with 3 matches to go; I was 11 points behind at one point but went on a tear while they started losing matches.

I'm up 2-1 vs Madrid heading home for the 2nd leg of Champions League, and I've got five guys whining about playing time, not sure how I'm gonna juggle them. Odds are one or two will be sold.

Also got offered the Italian national job in November, so I'll be leading them into the "World Championships" in the summer.

I started Manager Mode and felt like I spent 80% of my time in the menus. Searching for international talent seems like a chore.

exact same thing here. then i went to single play and am loving it. The key for me is to not control your whole team. just your own guy like club

See, I don't even mess w the international talent thing. Only do that if you're looking for cheap guys. The "well known" guys will be scouted already.

Instead, invest your money into youth scouts and build a youth academy, find good young kids, sign them and loan them when they turn 16/17 and build up that way.

I'm not even sure that I remember an option for youth scouts and youth academies. Wouldn't this work the same though? The scout would report back every week on a kid that he likes, I'd have to go look at him and decide if he should join our academy, etc.?

Nothing to do with topic, but you dislike quotes, but will use parentheses?

Lol, carry on...

No.

1) Go to Office, far right it says Youth Academy, use right stick to toggle to scouting networks

2) Hire scout, send him to nation, set up a scouting network--3, 6, or 9 months

3) He will report to you once a month with a scouting report of kids ages 14-17 that he has found. You can sign, reject, or continue to scout. If you continue to scout, other clubs may steal them from you during that time. Every month he will report back, with current ratings range and potential ratings range. The range will narrow every month he is scouted. He will add new kids every month.

4) Signing a kid costs 30k; he's yours until you either cut him or sign him to the club

5) They are eligible to join the club at age 16; between 16-17 they will demand out at some point, when you either have to sign them to a deal (making 500 per week usually) or they will leave and become a free agent, which you cannot sign at that point

6) Once they join the club, they can be loaned out immediately, but not sold for a year.
