voting through Week 6

This is the first poll where I had to really penalize some teams due to inactivity.

I don't think it's fair to the teams that are playing if you don't.

I voted a team who was 0 5 ast the 25th team haha, just cause they played the most games.

I don't necessarily DISAGREE with it either though... I mean, if you aren't playing your games... why should you be ranked? At least Mr. 0-5 is dedicated to NOT WASTING PEOPLES TIME

As funny as this is, this is my thought behind sticking an 0-5 team at #25.
I can appreciate their effort, but at the same time, no 0-5 team deserves to be in the top 25, sorry, just how I feel.

I did move some inactive teams out of the top 25, but you have teams that are 3-0 or 3-1 or 3-2 for that matter that should be in the top 25 over a 0-5 team.

I personally went the opposite way, I never penalized anyone for not having games played. For 2 reasons:

1. i'm obviously not checking every scheduling thread, so I have no way of knowing if it's actually their fault or not they're behind on games
2. It will work itself out in the end. If the person plays 12 games, he'll get whatever rank he gets. If he gets some sim losses, then obviously the losses would have me move him down on his rankings, so my thought process was that the system we have in place would take care of that.

I can only speak for myself on this but I assume there are others in the same boat as me. I only have 3 games played but its not because of inactivity on my part.

3 games played is leaps and bounds better than 0 games played, though

All the other teams I voted inside the top 20 where legit votes, just when ti came down to the last 5...there was a lot of 1-1 teams, and so I picked a 3-2 team, 2-2 team and I think the 0-5 team as the 25th. I wasn't penalizing a 1-1 team, just didn't know who to vote, so said what the heck haha.

Like I originally said, I just don't agree with it, but to each their own.
To me, a 1-1 team gets in over an 0-5 team, but that is just my opinion.

Well a 0-0 team shoulnd't be here either Haha, to but each there own, it's early in the season, and obviously only a few of us are still taking ti seriously. Most guys are riding out the storm to keep in OOTP, or a spot in the "next NCAA"...


But I still thank and appreciate all the ahrd work all the commish'sa nd guys put in that are serious about the NDL.

First off, who the hell said anything about a 0-0 team deserving to be in the top 25?

Second, people need to understand that just because people have time to post in threads does not mean they have time to get games in. They are 2 very separate, very different requirements.

Some people, like myself, have the ability to get online while at work throughout the day.
So this affords me the ability to post in message boards throughout the day.

This is much different than trying to get a game in where after getting home, having things to do around the house, having a 6 month old child that I want to spend time with, having a wife to spend time with and then the other things that come along with life.
And I am not one of the many parents we have in the NDL that have pre-teens or teenagers that are into sports. So that takes up many, many more hours than for someone like me.

So I want people to understand, posting on message boards does NOT equal being able to get games played. Very, very different!


With all of that said, if you have time to post in threads, at least reach out to your opponents in the Scheduling threads and/or send them a PM explaining what is going on.

Rankings are OVERRATED

No one needs to "hold a spot" anymore. That's why the emphasis on being active was put in place. It was clearly stated that if you didn't want to play in Season 28, that you would still have board access. So your statement about playing NCAA to remain in other phases of the NDL is completely wrong.
