Now that Madden is coming out I'm going to buy the ps4. I planned on just going to game stop and buying one.

Before I do that is there anything I should know? Any new versions coming out or any deals that anyone knows about or anything I need to buy in addition to the ps4? I think I read I needed a 2nd controller separately ? I'll use that link to buy the 2nd one that was posted on boards... anything else?

There is a limited edition white PS4 coming out bundled with the biggest game of the rest of the year, Destiny for $450 if interested in that as I know a lot of the COD guys will be on that a lot.

2nd controller if you plan to use one. I never do but some people do.

Another option is you can buy used for around $300 if you want to go that way as well.

Welcome to the club.

And you get 2-3 games free a month on it for each system.

You can find PS Plus on sale at times for $40.
A 2k league would be awesome.
That and Madden and I would feel like I am actually using my PS4.

Bad timing. Psn down. Yahoo reporting hackers tried to hit Psn. Here we go again.

Sony is being attacked because they have something setup incorrectly. Several other gaming servers have also been hit recently. Some hacker groups like to exploit those vulnerabilities and then announce them to the world. Once they are announced, the target has no choice but the spend money fixing their network to patch the holes. It's a way of forcing big companies to spend money that they wouldn't on their own to harden their systems.

Sony is being attacked downstream. So, it doesn't look like it's their servers but routers down the line from them. Routers they don't control. They might be getting attacked because they have a single line of failure. I can only guess.

Microsoft is actually extremely good at fixing vulnerabilities. Nobody in the world has had the experiences they have when it comes to hackers trying to find holes. So, they have actually become some of the best in the world at it.
