I would REALLY like to see all NDL championship games archived forever on video ala Holmeys tool and our HOF.

So much so that I'm willing to purchase all the equiment needed and mail it around the country for 1 of whomever is in the title game each season to use then send back to me (I'll even include prepaid stamped envelopes)

Anyway, need to know 2 things.

1 - Hoos, what all do we need again? Gimme the list a price total in American Dollars.

*We need to assume we will be sharing/sending it to someone with a BASIC ps3 to HDTV set up. (so I imagine that means we need the video capturing software as well)

2 - Anyone wanna volunteer to split the costs with me. Need paypal account. The more we have the less it'll be per person. please do NOT send me any money until we know how many people are in. Its a pain crediting back people.

If you're not technically savy and are worried about the responsibility dont worry about it...Hoos and I will become experts and post a break down of what to do and I'll even provide free call center support to my cell phone should you be priveledged enough to make it to a champ game.

I’m pretty sure that I have a Dazzle laying around the house. Let me see if I can dig it up. Keep in mind, you are asking somebody to make it to the champ game and then play their game in SD. That is not the greatest setup.

A HAVA box will allow them to play in HD but you are talking about a significant bump up in price ($250ish). However, you can make kick ass vids that in turn make BigScrub very jealous.

I have the HAVA Wireless HD. I do not use the Wireless aspect of it tho because it had more lag in it than just using cables. It is pretty easy to setup and use. Far superior to using a Dazzle.

my guess is that if its all done in HD, it will be similar to Nole's championship video he has, where its broken down by quarter?

Question....because we prolly should have me or hoos edit the video since thats really the "hardest" part and would be a pain to teach someone every 2 1/2 months......should I look at getting an external hardrive that the coach who is recording can record the game....save it to that harddrive, then send the whole thing to hoos or myself to edit and post?

How many gig are we talking with a whole HD game?

now that I think about it, Definteley should because god forbid someone like cnasty try to save the game file on his 1980's TRS-80 computer

i'm not 100% on this, but with all the college students in here i'm not sure everyone is on HD.

maybe use Hoos' SD (i hope this means standard definition aka shitty tv) and try to send that around as long as one of the contestants has SD, unless both have HD then send the one you purchase

as long as one of the two are in HD, then the HD thing would be fine. I also saw where youtube is allowing uploading of HD videos, at a limit of 1GB per video. based on what i have read, thats about 10 mins of 720 video.

possibly, if you go the HD route, should at least test run a full game and see what the size is, then get the memory stick accordingly. Dont forget might be overtime, so dont want to get something exact to the size

I'll play with it some more when '10 drops...Ill renew this thread and also order the equipment end of June beginning of July, test it and have it all ready by the time season 16 is wrapping up

I was going to say, why dont we just have a laptop that we mail to each other because there is no way in hell my Tandy with the Millenium Edition Windows is processing ANY of this.
