My ISP is still fucking up. It looks like it isn’t a problem at my house but instead the local node is packed. Comcast will hopefully be able to do some load balancing and get me to another node. The local guys are working on it.

I can play no problem during non-peak hours until it’s fixed. For instance, I’m pulling 22 megs right now. Last night, I was pulling .71 megs.

was a good night too. Lots of wins for me and crowes.

It looks like they did some work on it today. So far, the speeds are holding up. If it can hold up during peak hours then I will jump on.

Had a long talk with my local Comcast this morning. They told me that a lot of people were calling in with the same problem. Somewhere along the route to the internet there is major gridlock after 8pm. They don’t know where it is at yet or if it is even local. It could be that a neighboring city that we use as a hop is the cause of the problem.

Basically, it boils down to Comcast has oversold an area and hasn’t upgraded the infrastructure. So, I’m pretty much fucked until they figure out how to balance the traffic. Hopefully, with so many people calling in it will pressure them to find a solution.

The saga may be over. Comcast finally figured out that my account how somehow reverted back to an 8meg account. They hooked me up with a bunch of discounts and shit and changed my account back to 16megs. I’m praying that is the end of this BS and I will have my good connection back tonight.

What that have to do with anything? 16 or 8 what's it matter. Im only signed up for 5 and never have any problem what so ever with lag. Looks you just need to get another provider.

There is no other provider here.

If your connection is a steady 5 (DSL) then you are ok. Cable is shared thus your speeds vary depending on how much bandwidth is being used. I was dropping to under 1meg most nights which makes it impossible to play. By getting my 16 back, hopefully, I will no longer drop under an acceptable speed.
