The only thing better today is graphics. Socom 2 game play has yet to be matched.

If Sony wants to make some loot they should release SOCOM 2 on the PSN.

All thats better is the graphics? Isnt that the point. I'd love to hear what gameplay wise is better on Socom 2 than Resistance or Modern warfare or W@W

I am with you AJ, but one thing Socom did right is the room setup. I forget if the connection type was P2P or central-server based, but that's not what I mean; the lobbies were the best.

You could pick precisely what type of game you wanted to play, including medleys and custom rooms. I'd love to be able to say, "Ya know, I feel like playing 6-man Search and Destroy and Domination only." Or, just be able to play every map on every different mode round by round. It was my favorite part of Socom.

I just hope they increase the party size like it was on COD4. Also would it be too much to ask for better servers? Flat out, this game looks like it could be the greatest of all time.

I wont even say the S word personally anymore with the letdowns its had but yea..it had 100% to do with ease of play and organziation. Im an old fuddy duddy now when it comes to shooters..guess my age is showing.

I do miss it..especially this time of year..unlike hoos I dont like to suck ass and after iw aited so late to jump in and with the time i have...i sucked so never got into it

Rumors are the sequel to WAW is COD:SAW (Spanish-American War).

11/10/09 is the drop date. We will have to set up a pecking order of party invites. A-Team, B-Team, Crowes Team, etc....

Socom 2 was greatness. My favorite thing about it was the maps. Great maps. However, all the new Socoms blow and the shooter genre has moved past Socom. At one time, this was the biggest franchise around. Sony thinks so little of it now that it let an unknown Dev do the latest installment of it and it showed as they were well over their head. Socom RIP.

COD: MW2 needs dedicated servers. Stop being cheap and doing P2P connection. It is fucking ridiculous to have somebody from another country hosting the connection. The P2P doesn’t even work well. I have hosted games before and my connection has gone into the shitter. I know Scrub has a much stronger connection than me but for some reason it picks me. Makes zero sense.

COD has a nice thing going with the double Devs. They need to get away from WW2 next and move to a different war. How about Vietnam or Korea? Seven kills and you get napalm. Something different to spice up the off IW years.

Nole, you wouldn’t suck if you actually played the game. We have room most nights to add another. We have Domination down and it would only take a matter of time for you to catch up.

Yes, and the party system needs to be expanding. The diminished numbers are a direct result of not using a server based game. RFOM allowed something like 18 in a party. Fucking 18 and we get 6 now.

Nole, all you need is to get to level 20, get martyrdom, sit on b, die, blow up who killed you. Plus I miss the Klumps
