I've gotten fucked on tihs twice because im an idiot.

Remember...the named roster file you have INCLUDES rating edits by the guys who did them.

For example...the UVA QB has an EA speed of 84 or so....the guys who did them gave him a 93.

SO...when u boot up your game and goto rosters to check them as you decide what team(s) you're gonna go after....know they could very well NOT be what you have when you play online with that team.

I havent had chance to play with it yet, but i imagine you'll have to load a default roster or sometihng to check what the player actual ratings will be

your best bet (before names) is to download the ea version, and go through that list to see what team you like, then test accordingly. at least then you have an accurate roster.

Bastards! Why did they have to mess with the ratings? Don't they normally edit the names 1st and then adjust ratings?

nope, they always make a few of their own personal "tweaks"...thats how ive been fucked on 2 previos versions....08 and 09

i draft a team thinking the hb runs a 95 or 94 then when i play online with them he's a 88

Good call here. I've already downloaded the named file. What do I need to do to get the old rosters back up so I can research them?

Also, since I'm kind of new with this next gen stuff, are the ratings that I'm seeing when I'm online (using my named rosters) accurate? (For instance, when I start a scrim/ladder game)

I haven't looked at the updated ones yet but UVA was messed up in the original rosters. Next year's starting QB is an impact CB in this game. The 93 speed would be for Vic Hall.

Which really makes me wonder if anybody at EA is really doing their homework. Hall was moved to QB a long time ago and it wasn't a secret. He even played QB against VT last season.

yup...so when you're online at about to start a game and goto dpeth chart...those are the ratings you will have...those are DIFFFERENT than if you go straight to the offline depth chart.

when those guys do names...and we have that file/roster and go online.....the game knows that UVA QB #19 is the same as Ronnie Sowell....so it keeps that...BUT all ratings default back to the ea default roster ratings.....


not sure exactly how to look at the regular roster offline except for delete the named roster....then look at "normal" ones....then re-download named roster before you play.

will play around with it tonight if no one posts how to do it more effeciently

goitcha....yea..perfect example....if you goto UVA offline..you'll see Vic Hall with a 93 speed at qb.....when you go ONLINE and try to play a game with them....he aint there at qb

It's actually easy...just go into a dynasty then exit..it loads the default roster ( you'll notice when you go to team management) Then you can check them out.

Also, anytime you go online...it loads the default and will still give the names to the players. so in other words, anytime you play online it will use the normal ratings not the named ratings..but the names will still be there.

Well whose roster are we supposed to be using, or who should we be uploading it from? Cause mine is out of whack.....some of the names are miss spelled or just plain wrong.

EASCNCAA rosters are the correct rosters-those are the ratings you will see online I believe but will be given names as long as you have the named roster.

Offline to have names you have to use the roster file with the names......

So, to check out the online ratings use the EASCNCAA

and yeah the named roster file is turrible

honestly...listening to people complain about the rosters is giving me a fucking headache. If you have issues, you do them. Until then shut up.

Im considering doing the rosters. I will just edit based on their names in the game (change #/Skin Color..but no ratings)

If people wanna help, i have no problem doing it. I'd need like what their names on whihc im sure most fans know already.

PLus this will give us a normal roster and not fuck us over

Id be happy to help....if we could get enough guys to commit to posting 2-3 rosters then the whole NDL could have the same accurate rosters.

i'm totally for doing it. I am so bored and up all hours of the night. It would probably take a week but i'd do my best.

Are the normal guys not doing rosters this year?

I'd be able to help but not till this weekend. The wife is leaving Thursday with the knucklehead and driving up to Kentucky for the weekend so I'll have plenty of time on my hands.

First Off - Nole what the hell are you looking at playing w/ UVA anyhow? No Seminole fan I know would even consider playing w/ the Wahoos

Secondly - Hoos I haven't looked at the UVA roster but you're right about the whole Vic Hal at QB this Spring. He's a beast and rightfully so an impact CB in the game, but I thought him playing QB was only an Experiment. In given situations he'll play QB for sure, just like he did against the Hokies last year, but with Jameel Sewell (spell check) returning to UVA this year, isn't he taken over the reigns again?

I'm using the file from Buckeye02 over @ OS. It's in my locker if anyone needs to jack it.
