Directv current NFL Subscribers only, this only works for the owners who have the NFL Sunday Ticket currently.

My buddy attempted to cancel his NFL Sunday ticket yesterday, and was routed to a NFL Sunday Ticket customer service representative. He explained that he could not afford the ticket which is $44.99 (six months of payments for the NFL Sunday Ticket totalling $269.94) + $16.50 (NFL Superfan totalling $100.00 for six months- all the games in HD) totalling $71.49 a month added on your monthly bill, which totals out to $349.94 for the whole package. The price of $44.99 is only for current subscribers, as the regular price for new ones is $59.99 per month for the ticket.

So he attempted to cancel and explained to the rep that he is having a hard time........which is true. She first offered him $5.00 off the NFL Sunday ticket to $39.99 per month and $20.00 off the NFL Superfan. He said he cannot do it. She then offered $10.00 off the ticket to $34.99 per month and 50% off the Superfan. He said no thank you, she then finally said $20.00 off per month for the next six months of the Sunday Ticket for a monthly rate of $24.99 per month, and she threw in the NFL Superfan for free.

All he pays this season is $149.94. Why I am telling you guys, if you currently subscribe, call Directv and try to cancel it. They have to automatically transfer you to a NFL ticket customer service representative and they try to persuade you to stay a customer. I did it and six of my buddies did it yesterday and today. All of them attempted to cancel it by saying it is rough times..........no gimmick, it works. I finally get to watch my ticket without paying high prices for once. NO Strings attached, just play along like you do not make enough money to pay for the ticket, they are instructed to offer you options. Try it out....and for those that do not have the NFL Superfan, they throw it in with your NFL Sunday Ticket for free.

Ill be watching via Internet for free but good looking out.

Smart ass..........sorry I forgot to call you. I guess a lot of guys in here do not have the NFL Sunday Ticket....really surprising for football fans.

I have been a nfl ticket fan for 14 years now. guys invite me to the bar to watch all the games. I say , I can at home and the beer is cheaper .

the best part of it is the game mix screen. on the 52 inch screen,. with all the games on 8 differnt screens and you can click over to get the sound you want. red zone channel is nice too.

NFL bores me. Although I dont do fantasy

I definitely feel you on this one. I hate the Saints always have the "early" game, especially after a LSU game the night before.

how far can you push them? at some point will they just say, "okay, we'll cancel it?"

would it do any good to mention that a friend had his cut to X amount?

shelly make sure to cheer for # 33 Olaniyi Sobomehin since i coached him in high school and got him connected to osu then he went to psu for his senior year, not a starter yet but he is on his second year

They will either give you the three options, or just cut right to the $20.00 off from the get go. Here is an example of two of my boys what they received along with the discount. One received with everything I mentioned including six months of Showtime for free. The other received a free HD DVR receiver along with the NFL Sunday ticket discount. This stuff is no joke, I was just trying to save some money for people who have the ticket. Tim, if it gets to well, we will cancel it, which it won't, you can say well, let me think about it if it does not work. Try everything I mentioned in steps and see it if works. It works, just try it...........and if it didn't, then just say, you know what? Let me really think about it before I cancel it.

i ll be trying this tomorrow. i ll let you know, seeing im a cable guy who cant get dtv hd due to trees.

I called and got the cheap rate and free HD games package as well. and she thru in starz as well for free for 3 months

to piggy back o this topic. Do exactly what rain is saying with Credit Card companies, phone service ( cell or house), Cable/internet, and XM/Sirius. The worst they can say is no.

The delay is terrible with Justintv, I try to watch baseball and basketball and I cannot bear it. But watching football on a 57' HD Screen is much better with the free package........

Fuck tryin this with creditors or Direct TV or some shit like that.

I am going to try this shit with my wife.
