Man I hate to say this as a White Sox fan. I'm happy a hot Twins team made it to the post season to represent the AL Central rather than a limping Tigers team. Lets just hope for a great post season and another World Series like the Yankees/Diamondbacks series in 2001.

Its crazy how the Twins always get extremely hot in August and September after being so quiet in the first half. They do it EVERY year. May not always clinch it like tonight, but they always get right in the thick of the race in September.

Anyways, the world series is the New York Yankees to lose...

Agreed :x

I was hoping for the Tigers to get in. They at least have a great 1-2 punch with Verlander and Jackson.

The Twins better stay hot to have any chance at all.

Wouldn't count the BoSox out for the AL crown just yet. Beckett and Lester are very proven starters and all they need is 5 solid innings from either Bucholz or Dice K. Their bullpen is super strong and Martinez' addition to the lineup will definitely wear down opposing pitchers.

---

Are the Dodgers nuts playing Ronnie Belliard over Orlando Hudson. I don't care that the O-Dogg had a bad September, he's gotta be in there if anything for his glove since they've downgraded their rotation by starting Padilla over Billingsley  . I commend the Dodgers for acquiring these guys as late season additions and as quality depth, but c'mon now we're talking postseason baseball.

Yea, but Beckett has shown nothing as of late and tailed off a ton and Lester is playing hurt and he hasnt looked the same either.

Sad when Dice K is our best starter right now.

Very hard to turn it on in a short series after bumbling down the stretch but I guess anything is possible.

I will say this now.

The Yankees will NOT win the World Series.

Sadly :x

I don't care who wins the World Series, but I am tried of this 4-1 or 4-0 sweep bullshit. We haven't had a decent World Series with drama in years. I want a 7 game series, oh and no Minnesota vs. Colorado, that would defeat the purpose.

That game was so flippin good and hope my Twins can knock off the Evil Empire. It cant get any worse, we have lost numerous playoff matchups to the Yankees as well as going 0-7 this season against the Bombers.
