So I have been kinda curious as to who is everyones favorite collegiate Football team!
If No favorite Who do You root For??

Okay also why is it that this team is your favorite or why do you root for them? Whats the history behind it?

Kentucky--fan from childhood, not to mention I'm a UK alum.

I grew up in southern Indiana (with a mother who was an IU fan), and lived just outside of Louisville....but I became a UK fan because of my cousin, who was a big Cats fan. Plus, I liked Jamal Mashburn, so I started rooting for them.

Indiana Hoosiers. I grew up about 25 miles from Bloomington. I’ve probably spent as much or more time on that campus than many students. In high school, my buddies and I used to go up every Saturday and Sunday and play basketball at the HPER building for hours on end then we’d go out and make lame attempts to hook up with college girls. I’ve been a fan for so long that I can actually remember the days when IU was a solid Big Ten program and consistently finished at .500 or better with a bowl bid.

If you couldnt tell, im an Ohio State fan. I grew up in columbus. Born in 76 my earliest memory of watching and actually remembering a game was 1983. But i ll tell you every saturday as a little kid i would watch the buckeyes. I still to this day remember throwing a damn fit with my grandparents when ohio state was playing the Illini....1984. Keith Byars was the man, and was robbed of the Heisman....but that run when his shoe came off was classic....

Im a Michigan State fan, alum, and am currently in grad school here.

Honestly when I was waaay younger I was a Michigan fan. Then, one of the kids from school who was a complete douche (first or second grade, and he still is btw) would come to school and do nothing but spout off about how great Michigan was. So, I decided to start rooting for State just to spite him...and it stuck.

Michigan, been a fan since I was about 7 or so. My best friend at the time was a fan and I became one. Then most other people I knew were fans as well.

Cincinnati, went to undergrad there.

Toledo, born and raised here, went to grad school there and currently live in Toledo

I got 2...bad thing is they used to play and it divided our house. My father is a penn State Grad. and my mother graduated from West Virginia.
I grew up in West Virginia so that is my first love...its easy to pull for Penn State cause of JoePa.

Don't really have a favorite team but grew up near Cal so I root for them or Tulane where I was going to go to school pre-Katrina but ended up transferring to Cal Poly.

Florida State I was 12 years old when I got my first FSU shirt back in 78. I've been a fan ever since.

Nebraska (and, recently, Buffalo).

I have no idea why. When I was young, very young, I was a fan of Nebraska and the LA Express of the USFL. Don't ask me why. Every other team I root for is a direct result of me rooting against my parents: they are Jets, Yankees, Knicks, Rangers fans and I am Patriots, Mets, Heat, Devil fan.

In college ball, I also tend to sign four-year fandom contracts with teams based on players. Matt Grothe got me interested in USF and Phillip Rivers had me rooting for NC State a few years ago.

I like teams based on style of play. I love the spread option and flex option football.

Back in the 80's, it was Oklahoma mainly and and the academies.

Followed Paul Johnson from Georgia Southern to Navy to Georgia Tech as well.

Oregon, West Virginia, Rich Rod and Urban Meyer's offenses are nice as well.

I root for the Texas Tech Red Raiders...and their fat liitle girlfriends.

Moved to Lubbock in 2000 and while I don't particularly love the style of offense and the "we'll just score more than you defense.", I like the BCS-buster mentality that we have here. It is too difficult to out-recruit the likes of Texas, OU, etc- so I think we will always be the "spoiler" and never the hunted.
