It looks like a new build of R2 was display at the New York press party.

I was amazed at the HUGE difference between this build and the previous two that I had seen. The advancements on multiple fronts is incredible. Tangible changes in mechanics and game play are present. I expect the same to occur after the Public Beta and prior to Retail release of Resistance 2. These guys listened to us and many of the changes have already been implemented.
Huge improvements in speed, rotation, sound and about everything we noticed prior to this ...
New weapons;
Grenade launcher, semiautomatic; it takes skill to drop 'em at the enemy's feet and some timing is required. However, secondary fire is an incendiary grenade that needs to be tweaked. Too many and last too long. Fire graphics need work .. there are too many cars to back up into and catch on fire ... (this was James while I was playing ... "you're on fire ... You're on fire again .. You're on fire .. You're on fire again ... ya, shake it .. again ... walks away shaking his head) Fire graphics and proximity warning need to be added ...
Splicer; HOW COOL IS THIS THING? .. steak tartar anyone? Sawblade spam-away ... secondary is sick when it sticks ..
Carbine; improved accuracy and reticle (huge improvement)
Auger appeared the same but didn't play it much.
Grenades; better arc .. limited distance ... I guess this is why we now have a grenade launcher?
Marksman; improved as asked for ... nicely balanced though
FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE CONTROLS
BLOOD SPLATTERS ARE AWESOME, GORE GALORE, pieces parts flying everywhere .. physics engine working well with this though *THUMBS UP*
Shields; reformed and look much nicer .. decreased opacity on Soldier shield with the Wraith ...
