will now be mandatory for the rest of Season 17 and ALL of Season 18.

The NDL Rules themselves will remain the same as it pertains to gameplay.

More and more guys are using these "strategies" and its uncalled for.


Couple things to keep in mind. People will still get Season Showdown points without using the Strategy Features. However, I believe they will be 'skill points'.....if some one is getting "STRATEGY POINTS" then they are using these features that we'd LIKE to filter out of the game completely. I suppose my main point of this paragraph is that when doing coaches reports DO NOT SLAM someone for skill points.

This is not optional EVERYONE MUST TURN THIS ON in order to play NDL games.

If you talk to your opponent before you guys head online, please politely ask them if they have seen this thread.

On the Main menu goto "Season Showdown"

pick your favorite team

press "x" to skip the presentational stuff (or watch if u wanna)

goto exit

What is the strategy? Is that like play the pass? or what?

Gotcha, I assumed we were already just going with moderation on everything but guess run, so I assumed this was now a ban.

I think mine is on and I know the info is forthcoming but what if we have it on, how do we check if its already on. Sorry I just dont know how to use some gimmicks in this game and never read the guess run or S.S threads.

If you go into a lobby such as West 1 or NDL room, if you have a team designated to you or you see your current points in the upper right hand corner, you have it on.

Great decision AJ and has us all on the same level of whats going on. Now how people decide to use those "strategies" is up to them and should be kept in moderation and policed in the coaches reports as the norm.

I believe, but would also have to confirm, that if you set your gameplay strategies (jump the snap, strip the ball, tight zone, break tackle, etc) to something other than normal that you also get strategy points.

Again, I'm not positive, but I think this might be the case. Can anyone confirm this is or prove this isn't the case?

Dont think so dak, I have turned shit to conservative when I see stuff pop up that "looks" like big hit, strip, big run, etc... and I havent gotten any points.

Conservative INTs (Swat), Conservative Option (Play HB) are the only 2 Conservative settings that I know of, that will result in Strategy points.

O well shithats the first thing I did when I bought the game it asked me mny fav team and the what not, is that what we are saying here.

No, it's not what you did as soon as you put the game in the PS3 when you first bought it. It's something that is only done online. Just see what Nole posted and you will see it is different.
