Re: Red Dead Redemption

I'm still loving this game hardcore. What are some of the funny moments you've experienced in it so far?

Mine:
- I roped a cougar (the feline kind, not the club hopping kind, although I've roped a couple of those since becoming single again). He went nuts and immediately tried to run away and was growling and screaming. I finally just let him go and shot him. I roped another one later and he tried to run away to the front of me so I rode my horse along and he was running back and forth and going nuts while I laughed my butt off. I finally let him go and shot him too.

- I accidently pointed my gun at a guy in town while I was going to go get on the stagecoach. He came after me and shot one of the horses that pulls the stage. The coach took off and thudded over the body of the horse like it was a giant speedbump.

- I saw a guy on the side of the road peeing so I lasso'ed his horse and tried to take off. Apparently he put the parking brake on the horse when he got off because that horse wasn't moving. I dragged it a bit and it's legs never bent or moved. Finally the guy ran after me and jumped on his horse. We had a little horsey tug-of-war for a bit before I got bored and let him go.

- I shot a skunk with the buffalo gun. The skunk was vaporized. Nothing left.

I actually lassoed a guy who was peeing on a fence, you saw a stream go flying

I learned quick you can't shoot anything tiny with that gun....it's unreal, the damn things just vanish.

I drug one guy who shot at me, went up to one of the high cliffs in Mexico, sprinted towards it and turned....and the guy's momentum took him flying right off the edge of the cliff, at which point I let go and watched him fly through the air for about 15 seconds. Good times.

I'm trying to put a posse together for this weekend. Check the shooter board for details. Post there if you are in.

Is anyone having any issues with the pictures "shaking" on the loading screens? It doesn't happen with all of them but just some. It never happens while playing the game.

In typing this question I have a feeling I could get hammered by asking this or all kinds of weird answers could follow but it is an honest question.....

Where do you find "beavers"????I know they one mission you need to help the guy fly his "plane" and you need beaver fur etc...I have everything but can't find the beaver???.....I am sure I am just missing it....
Most nights from 6-8 pm eastern I can run

you can find them around the rivers and lower levels of mountains in tall trees.

Yea, I found them at that camp in Tall Trees. They were spawning behind one of the buildings at the top of the camp. You can also go left from the camp and there will be a river right there. Just look for them during the day.

The one that almost drove me postal was trying to find enough skunks. :o

little confused in trying to figure out if I have beat the single player.
Spoiler!
I killed butch, or or rather he killed himself, and then I met up with my wife. For the last few days I have been a glorified delivery boy and hunting with my son. Is the game over? I dont understand what the hell is going on.

Damn, I am 98.1% complete. Have to get the US Marshall Outfit and do all the bounty locations...

I was Pike's Basin away from doing the Marshall Outfit, but my fucking horse fell off a cliff going into the basin and I died...

Hoos, when you did this one where did you start? Pike's Basin, or Gaptooth Breach?

I started on the right side of the map and worked my way to the left side. Just don't fast travel (moves time ahead) and you should have plenty of time to complete it.
