I agree yahoo is way better then ESPN... also i would rather see like 4 or 5 keepers not 6... that is just me thought honestly i dont care if you want to give me 6 thats fine i just think it would be more fair to only have like 5 keepers. Also rookie draft was always cool but it will take a while... so i would say just draft rookies in the draft.... the draft should be ordered from last place last year to first place last year. Waiver wire would be nice and also i think we should be able to trade if anyone wants. Like i have Dwill but i dont really need him if someone wants him they could trade me a keeper for him.

Also a point per reception would be nice i really find those leagues are a lot more fun. Again personal opinion!

i would love to get this going soon so if you need help just hit me up!

from a quick check, we have 10 "yes I will come back"

The reason that I said keep 6 players, is that it will reward people that built a strong team from the 18 team league, because when I drafted for this league 3-4 years ago, I planned on being bad up front (hence the name, My Team Sucks) and I took alot of rookies and unknown players, but they have started to come around. I think 5 is fair though, and sounds good.

did we ever get a list of the people that owned each team?

1. Any expansion team automatically gets the first pick; if there are two expansion teams, a coin toss determines who picks first; the other team will pick first in the expansion draft.
2. The winners of the Super Bowl are given the last selection, and the losers the penultimate selection.
3. Teams that made the playoffs are then ordered by which round of the playoffs they are eliminated.
4. Teams that did not make the playoffs are ordered by their regular-season record.
5. Remaining ties are broken by strength of schedule. For draft order, a lower strength of schedule results in an earlier pick. If strength of schedule does not resolve a tie, division and/or conference tiebreakers may be used. If the tie still cannot be broken, a coin toss at the NFL Combine is used to determine draft order. (Note: Strength of schedule is the combined records of a team's 16 opponents, including games played against the team in question, and counting divisional opponents twice. Because of this, each team's opponents' combined wins and losses—counting a tie as a half-win, half-loss—will add up to 256, so a team whose opponents had more combined wins has a better strength of schedule.)

Since we really don't know strength of schedule... all ties will be broken by total points scored.

PM to all coaches that said they wanted back in. I will get with the waitlist guys to see if they are still interested, then they will get a chance to pick up one of the open teams.

We are going with 12 teams, top 8 make the playoffs.

Waiting on the following teams:

Keyes Redskins
Philadelphia Chesesteaks
Ohio Buckeyes

Once those are in, that will put us at 10. I set the league max to 12 teams, so we will probably have 2 new guys take over teams, or if not enough interest, just keep at 10

For the people in the league, how should we move forward after this season? As far as draft strategy, know if its a 5 guy keeper or back to dynasty will alter some draft picks.

If anyone else is in any keeper / dynasty leagues, and like the way the keeper rule is set, post here and we can figure out as a group how to move forward

Keeping five seems like a good idea.

should keepers just stay as the last picks by a team, or should they be ranked and take a pick in a certain round of the draft.

Just trying to figure out if there is a way to keep all the teams even and keep people from dropping out mid-season.

A league that I have been in for a couple years that is a keeper league, we keep up to 3 people but we get to pick them based on the previous years draft spot (3 years ago DeAngelo Williams was a 11th round pick, so last year I got him 2 rounds earlier, and this year 2 earlier so I get him as a 7th round pick.)

I agree that keeping 5 people as your last 5 picks will reward good drafters and waiver pick-ups, but may cause ghost teams with nobody controlling them as the season goes along with all of the top talent kept every year. As an example, guys that would be fourth round draft picks in standard leagues might go first round here because of all the kept talent

right now we are doing a 5 person keeper, then re-drafting the remaining players from the teams that were taken out and rookies. My question is how do we move forward to keep everyone interested through the entire season. Last thing we need is for half the league to leave halfway into the season because they notice that we have 3 teams that are much better than the other 9. Just trying to find a way to keep the league competitive for all the members but reward people that are good drafters and play the waiver wire well.

If the league majority says keep as a full roster dynasty, then we can do that, or if the majority wants a fresh start, I am fine with anything. Just trying to get everyone involved, because the guys that are back are the ones that did set rosters weekly and stayed on top of their teams.

As an example, your roster you have Randy Moss as one of your elite guys, and then Barber and Benson that are decent but not top 20 players in 2010 standard drafts. My team has Drew Brees and Steven Jackson, both listed as Top 15. Some have 3 or 4 Top 15 players. By having a draft, the top teams are just going to get stronger, and I dont want that to drive away people from trying in the late weeks of the season

how about something like this: a big part of this league was the rookie draft. Maybe allow for only 3 year players or less to be kept. IDK, just throwing out ideas. Id feel better about keeping a few of the guys I drafted or picked off the waiver wire then a vet who I can replace from a large pool of veteran talent.

im for keeping 3-5 players then having a draft of rookies and left overs. This way we keep the balance and can continue the dynasty. Plus its faster with the season just 10 days away
