SKS
Anyone looking for a Romanian SKS?
It shoots 7.62x39 ammo.
It is essentially the same thing as an AK-47.
I can send pics if anyone is interested, but figured I would start here first.
I have a few hundred rounds of ammo. Will get the exact amount if someone is interested.
I have a bipod on the front, no shoulder strap or bayonet.
I put a wood stock on it, I also have a synthetic stock that it came with when I bought it.
I have a hard case for it.
I also have a red dot scope, that could mount on it, but putting that on this thing is like tits on a nun. No point.
I have 2 30-round magazines, 1 works good, 1 needs filed down and will work. I have not taken the time to dig into what it needs exactly.
I use it to target shoot and play around.
I am asking $300 for everything.
Let me know if interested.

I have one too. Mine is Chinese. Wood stock, trapdoor ammo repo (uses stripper clips), folding spike bayonet. My grandpa gave it to me for my fifteenth birthday.

This could be totally serious or a Peay-style joke, and I'd believe it either way.LetsGoPeay wrote:I have one too. Mine is Chinese. Wood stock, trapdoor ammo repo (uses stripper clips), folding spike bayonet.

Everything he said is true.
Stripper clips are a much smaller clip.

Nothing even remotely close to illegal or any kind of issue selling a gun from private owner to private owner.

Completely serious. What can I say? I was raised redneck. I owned 5 different guns, a crossbow, a compound bow, and a shitload of knives before I even had a driver's permit.shel311 wrote:This could be totally serious or a Peay-style joke, and I'd believe it either way.LetsGoPeay wrote:I have one too. Re: SKS
Niddler, if nothing has come of this yet you might consider trying to sell on Gunbroker.com. I just sold mine on there for $450.

My buddy just told me about this the other day.
Can you PM me any details to help?
Like what did you start it at? What did it come with, did you have a reserve, how much was shipping,
if you have a link to the posting, that would be nice too.

I'll have to talk to the wifey. How hard is it to register that kind of gun? I only have a shotgun and never had a real need for anything else, but definitely need to be ready for the appocolypse.

Re: SKS
Does it have the ability to go full Auto? If only Semi-Auto, how fast can you put rounds down the barrel without fear of it jamming? Do you have a serial number for this so I can do some more research? What year?

It is illegal in most states to own a gun that goes full auto.
And you have to have a special license to own them.
Civilian life George!
No happy button (Full auto) switch for civilians.
As far as semi, as fast as you can pull the trigger. AK's and SKS's are known to not jam.
The issue is, the gun barrel raises too much and you can't hit shit if you start getting on it like that.
I will PM you the serial. Will have to get the gun out and get it.
As far as registering, there is no federal law that requires you to register it if you buy from a private seller.
Again, only if it is a full auto or machine gun or rocket launcher type of gun.

Re: SKS
My first tour in Iraq I got to shoot a bunch of AK's. There is absolutely zero kick to the gun, but man does it push the shit out of you on full auto. Now I see why it is so hard for them to be accurate when they shoot at us. That barrel rises like 12 year old's dick seeing his first naked lady.The_Niddler wrote: The issue is, the gun barrel raises too much and you can't hit shit if you start getting on it like that.
