Just was curious how this was going to be decided on who plays in the Championship game from the Atlantic side.

Maryland / Clemson / Florida St are all 5-3

Maryland - beat Clemson, lost to Florida St
Clemson - lost to Maryland, beat Florida St
Florida St. - beat Maryland, lost to Clemson

Three (or More) Team Tie
(Once tie has been reduced to two teams, the two-team tiebreaker format is used)

1. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams


2. Records of the tied teams within the division.


3. Head-to-head competition vs. the team within the division with the best overall (divisional or conference) record, and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken first to last.


4. Overall record for non-divisional teams.


5. Combined record versus all common non-divisional teams.


6. Record versus common non-divisional with the best overall Conference (divisional) and non-divisional record and proceeding through the other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within the division.


7. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the conclusion of regular season games shall be the divisional representative in the ACC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the ACC Championship Game.


8. The representative shall be chosen by a draw.

I just lost a huge conference game but i also lost FSU because of a sim lost when i played all of my games expect the NC state game which I was there when i was told to be there and Holmey just got tied up and couldn't make it

Maryland should be in the ACC.

they are 8-4, so is Clemson, but they beat them head to head.

game was open for 27 days. i felt scheduling effort was equal on both sides. there were times YOU couldnt make it as well. there were 7 or less "coin flips"...this was one of them.

Easy way to avoid this in the future is get the game played.

After reading that thread there were equal attempts NUMEROUS times to get the game in.

When that happens, a coin flip determines who gets the W. He may have not shown up the last time, but there were also times when you were busy as well and couldnt get the game scheduled.

Sims suck but there was almost 4 weeks to get this game in on both sides and the result it had to come down to a coin flip.

Sucks, but its ALWAYS been that way when both parties have made equal attempts to get a game in.

we actually set times up to play Last night and Sunday to play the game and he got tied up both times.....so i cut myself to 4 hours of sleep trying to get the game in for nothing

Leave the guy alone, he believes he received a sim loss that was not warrented, if he feels that way he should be able to state why. Without you attacking him. Mostly anyone in the league would want the ability to state their case in the situation. If they felt something was unwarrented in their opinion.

ok after talking with Holmey, he said he did no show last night. However, I cant help but want to bring up its a week 9 game that was open for 27 days. His schedule is tough and everyone elses is as well.....

its not simply about being able to get it in when you can get it in or how a west coast guy may only be able to play after 8 PCT or a night shift guy cant play this or then, you get the point.

I feel like I am MORE than accessible. No need for this to be aired on the boards and it 100% isnt appreciated or called for.

I will need a little time to mull this over before deciding. I am leaning towards leaving it as it is, but understand the argument.

Let me reiterate....I dont appreciate being put in this spot.

Final word on this. I am going to give the game to FSU after some discussion

couple things to take from this for EVERYONE:

1. play your games in a timely manner and this is all avoided

2. dont complain openly OR in private about a sim loss when it takes you near 2 weeks to respond to a scheduling thread as was the case here.

3. USE THE SCHEDULING THREADS. When doing sims, this is what i go by plain and simple. No 2 ways about it. Im not searching other forums or going by anything other than the scheduling threads. Cant stress that enough.

4. Lets be flexible BOTH ways when trying t get games in. 99.9% of the league will bend over backwards to help their opponent get a game in, please dont be the guy who doesnt.
